You can set your watch to Malone’s rotation.

H.ere’s how you bet the Nuggets: towards the end of the 1st if the Nuggets are leading Malone will rest Jokic, make a live bet on the opponent plus the points. They usually go on a run versus the Nuggets bench.

Then about midway through the 2nd Malone will put Jokic back in. Take the Nuggets plus any points and the money line.

I think literally ANY NBA head coach could accomplish what Malone has accomplished with Jokic. I think Jokic is legitimately in the GOAT conversation and it would take monumental incompetence from a head coach not to win with him on the court.

I dunno, he is, at least in terms of accomplishments, the greatest Nuggets Coach of All Time. Admittedly that isn't a terribly long list. It's basically Michael Malone, Doug Moe, Larry Brown, George Karl, and then we're getting into Dan Issel, Jeff Bzdelik, and a whole slew of utter crap (no offense to poor Bill Hanzlik, that wasn't his fault). The very bottom of that list is Michael Cooper and Bernie Bickerstaff.

That said, I'll say of both Malone and Bednar, if it's time to move on, then it's time. Again, NOT calling for either guy's head, but the coaching is really starting to become a bit of an issue with both of them.
The time to move on from either will be when the stars start to decline in production. I can see both relying on their horses way too long and not developing youth for that inevitable day when Father Time wins again.

For those that think the teams should be playing better, get real. These are veterans who won titles and realize the season revolves around winning titles. Chasing hard extra wins on Tuesday night in the first half of the season isn't going to happen and there's no coach in the world who can change that. What is a coach going to do? Tell Mikko or MPJ if they don't hustle harder they are benched? What kind of motivation is there that can get vets with rings to go the extra mile in a regular season game?

Rob Cohen, who was in the news last year trying to land Denver a WNBA franchise, appears to be on the verge of announcing an expansion franchise in the NWSL.

I don't like soccer but hopefully this endeavor succeeds and we can get a WNBA team after that. The reason we didn't get the WNBA team is because Ball Arena was apparently too expensive to lease and Magness was considered to be too small with inadequate parking.

Not sure where the NWSL team will play. The obvious move would be to share the Rapids stadium, but if he couldn't come to a favorable lease term with the Kroenkes at Ball he may not be able to do so at Dick's either

Hopefully he can get a plot of land and just build his own stadium on it, and maybe a midsize WNBA arena too. Two birds, one stone as it were.

EDIT:
it seems the plan is indeed to build his own stadium, but the team will play in a temporary home before that starting in 2026. So I guess the only real options are Mile High or Dick's, unless they want to try one of the college football stadiums up north or something.
