Interesting that the Nuggets aren't necessarily bad at 3-pointers, but more like they just don't attempt them enough. Apparently they were DEAD LAST in 3-point attempt volume. To me it always feels like they're the damn streakiest team when it comes to shooting beyond the arc, either everything is going in or nothing is (yeah I'm lookin' at you, Porter).

Malone appears to know this but it would be nice to see what adjustments he'll actually make. The Nuggets didn't exactly bolster their depth at guard this offseason, and definitely didn't add any guys who can shoot from distance near as I can tell (I mean, yeah, they got Russ, but he obviously isn't the shooter he used to be).

If I remember right, the team asked him multiple times if he wants to get dealt at the deadline and he said no. He had 10 and 5 rights so he could have went anywhere he wanted to but decided to stay.

Believe McMahon did the same thing this deadline because he had a daughter this year so he asked the organization to not trade him.
And that's fine, that doesn't make me question his desire to win, would've been nice for the owner to show the same level of dedication to the organization as Blackmon did.

The Rockies are usually above the league average in payroll. They just put idiotic people in charge to make stupid decisions, which you could argue the same thing Blackmon did when he re-signed multiple times.

That's just it, Monfort isn't the cheapest owner in baseball, he's just the laziest. Left complete idiots like Bridich (who was a surly dickhead to boot) in charge for YEARS while he made dumb move after dumb move. Hell, he didn't even want to fire Bridich, but fan outcry after the Nolan Arenado donation became way too much. It's never been the amount of money he spends, it's how he spends it (like his ridiculously uneven efforts to build and then almost immediately tear down an analytics department). And you know he played a big part in the signing of a way-past-his-prime Kris Bryant. He's somehow meddlesome and simultaneously hands-off in the worst possible ways.

Not gonna blame guys like Trevor Story for getting the f*** out, also not gonna blame guys like Blackmon for staying. Those are their decisions to make and their business, just would be nice for the Rockies to honor guys who stay loyal by not being grossly incompetent.

There were a couple of years where we knew that as Avalanche fans and it wasn't even our owners fault.

"Come on down and watch Tyler Arnasson and your Colorado Avalanche take on the Chicago Blackhawks."
-An honest to god commercial, expecting folks to fork over money for the iceturd and company.
"Labor force of Glendale, Colorado: Tyler has given you so much. Isn't it time you gave back?"

While Monforts hire yes man and make majority of the moves, I'm willing to bet good money that KB deal is mainly Schmidt's doing.

Speaking of Arenado, thought it was funny that he's won more playoff games with the Rockies than he has with the Cardinals. He made a huge mistake not opting out after '22 and getting his last big pay day, he's beyond washed.

I think VTech got screwed there. I don't think anyone cought it, then the ball was first controlled by the VTech guy inbounds before the Miami guy had control.

I simultaneously don’t know how it was ruled a touchdown and how it was overturned. Wild!

KAT is headed to the Knicks. Wolves get deeper.
Does anyone know anything about Randle? The other guy they got is legit but I’m reading horrible things about Randle and trying to scratch my head figuring out why they got him? KAT wasn’t legendary or anything by any means but it seems like the TWolves just got worse.

The Wolves just got SIGNIFICANTLY worse and the Knicks just got a whole lot better.

Gobert and Towns finally figured out how to play next to each other. Now they have two plodding bigs who can't shoot next to each other.

This trade makes no sense for the Wolves besides dumping money.

Wolves weren't going to be able to afford KAT soon so they got what they could for him. Which is a good amount of depth, honestly. Their starting 5 obviously, takes a hit but they're still going to be good.

We also lost from our starting 5 so it ain't gonna be a cake walk. Need MPJ to step up to his contract and the depth to develop.

Thanks fellas for confirming this is a dud. Been reading around and totally agree with the statement that Minnesota might be a little bit better against other teams in the West but against the Nuggets they really have lost their matchups. I remember Jokic and a few others saying that the Wolves were basically built to match up perfectly against the Nuggets but that’s gone with KAT outta town.

Honestly though, I was expecting the Wolves to take a dive down the standings this year regardless. The Nuggets are gonna be clinging on to championship hopes while OKC is gonna continue to grow and San Antonio is likely going to take Minnesota’s place in the upper echelon. At least that’s how I see it. Wemby is ridiculous and OKC is already loaded on the roster plus they have like 30 1st rounders in the next 5 years (exaggerating but it’s a crazy number).

The Wolves don't get better in this trade. Gobert and Randle is going to be a horrible fit - there isn't a single person likely outside of the Minnesota leadership group thinking this is going to work.

It's going to affect Edwards in a big way, too, because he isn't going to have KAT as a release valve to the outside anymore drawing away a big man from the paint.

Minnesota next season is going to likely be a 6-10 seed.

I see all these accolades Randle has but wow nobody likes him as a player. All I’ve read is that he’s a complete ball hog and kind of an a-hole just in general. Only 6-8 but does he try to play bigger? People are already thinkin Randle and Ant are gonna major collide

He is a ball dominant undersized big man who can't shoot 3s, gets into altercations with teammates/fans and isn't good enough to be a #1 option but not suited to be a #2 either.
