I hated Yankee's growing up but really don't care now

The 90's Yankee dominance was long time ago at this point and Red Sox are more insufferable franchise/fanbase now

I am just glad Yankees took out Detroit and Cleveland

As for NL don't really feel strongly about any teams outside of not wanting to see Cubs win so Dodgers back in WS doesn't bother me

Should be hopefully good series. MLB will love the ratings this should bring and in end its good for sport to have a matchup like Yankees vs Dodgers

RIP

Dodgers had some real good young aces come up in 80's

Martinez (Ramon)

Could have continued if the organization hadn't botched its assessment of Pedro Martinez in early nineties

From Lasorda believing he couldn't be a starter in MLB and use him in pen to GM Fred Claire making that disastrous decision to trade him to Montreal for 2B Delino Deshields

Now imagine the Expos/Nationals. At different points, they had Randy Johnson and Pedro Martinez (we could talk all day about the amount of talent the Expos/Nationals let slip through their fingers) and all they got in return was Mark Langston, Carl Pavano and Tony Armas.

So the NBA has a problem with load management and star players sitting too often? First I’m hearing about it as I’m not an NBA fan but Embid is allegedly in trouble.

To me it’s a huge problem and the reason I won’t buy tickets to a game, especially with the current state of the bulls. I see a lot of people sitting their stars against the bulls this year.

Yeah, it's an issue that's been popping up since Stern was alive. Silver especially gets furious when star players sit out on marquee matchups.

Freddie Freeman with four home runs in four games. Holy f***.

He is such an awesome and likable player, and then he had health issues with his son, and a walk off grand slam in the bottom of the 9th with 2 outs, followed by more WS HRs. Ridiculous.

Absolutely.

High entertainment in this world series game right now. Another grand slam. Lol

Time will tell but it seems like a good hire. Coming from a WINNING organization unlike Grifol is a big step.

The Sox could get worse by every metric and still end up with a better record just by dumb luck. Venable will be a coach of the year candidate if the Sox are merely 25 below .500 merely due to the big uptick in wins.

Man this Yankees team does not remind me of my formative years. Just mistake after mistake. Huge lack of clutch plays offensively/defensively/physically/mentally. Definitely deserve to lose.

Those Yankees teams also had a dominant bullpen that didn’t give up any runs. If they were winning after 6, game over.
