I cannot continue to state enough just how bad the Cubs are right now. I expected a regression, but holy smokes this is far worse than I anticipated.

The Canadian Stanley Cup drought is chump change. The NBA non-Texas/California Western Conference championship drought is where it’s at.

The SuperSonics in 1979 are the last non-California or Texas team from the West to win an NBA championship. Denver looking to end this totally meaningful drought.

Texas and California make up half the teams in the west.

I'm aware. But the fact that a quarter of the league (which itself is an easily groupable half of a conference) has gone 4+ decades without a title is crazy, especially when the same being the case for a smaller number of teams over a shorter timeframe is cause for never-ending mention among the Canadian media.

This is a league that went like 35 years with only 8 teams winning a title. It's really not that crazy.

So lemme get this straight...

The Bulls were bad, not because their vaunted GM didn't find a solution for their PG spot when one of the prima donnas he brought in here with a history of milking injuries decided against playing the entire year and chose to fill that void, that huge, huge void that completely changed the dynamic of the team, with in house pieces of chewed gum named Coby and Ayo and neither were good enough to fill that gap until the later part of the year when Donovan actually grew confident in Coby and Coby White started playing like a top ten pick, but it's the coaches fault?

Or is it the players fault? The guys that same vaunted GM brought in here to create a "power five" that was dependent, again, on the point guard and the defensive capabilities of that point guard in disrupting passes? Or...drafting PWill in what is looking like an excellent draft over better players and completely shitting the bed with the pick considering he's brought nothing he was projected to bring and is looking like a bench player who is supposedly what, 23? But looks like he's 33 and moves around like it on the court.

I mean....Jerry Krause won all those championships and Jordan had nothing to do with it, kind of have to blame AK and Eversley for the shit show the Bulls are currently

Was really expecting Andrew Vaughn to have shown more improvement by now. Where’s the power? Where’s all this pop that he allegedly was going to provide? He’s been this same, average hitter since the day he made his debut 3 seasons ago. It would be one thing if he was some outstanding gold glover defensively….or if he could run….but he doesn’t really provide anything other than what was supposed to be a consistent power bat. So where is it? It’s unacceptable for him to be slugging below .400.

Speaking of Slugging how many XBH does TA have this season? Like 3?

Yeah they are bottle team, but it’s legit a home game vs Mainz. Yes I expected them to win.
I thought it was possible both Teams lose. Crazy finish to a weird season.

Bayern just fired Kahn and Salihamidzic After winning the title.

I wish they would have won, but Dortmund chocking is always an option

Yeah. They don’t deserve the title.

Also Bayern should have fired them. Moronic moves they made.

Sox management made right decision walking away from Abreu

He has looked awful in Houston

One of the very few correct decisions they’ve made.

And then there’s Dylan Cease….a young, supremely talented ace entering his prime and fully healthy coming off a Cy Young caliber season…..now inexplicably just sucks. Out of nowhere. For no reason at all.

Only on the white Sox does this happen. Just another indictment on how poorly run the organization is, and how poorly they go about developing their young talents.
