Rodgers would be crazy to want to go to the AFC, especially the AFC West where as early as next season he could be the third best QB in the division. I think at this point Rodgers (maybe influenced by his fiance) wants to move on, but the realization is going to the AFC presents a much more difficult rise to the top. Better off just staying in what might be the worst division in football next season and running it back. Maybe not playing like garbage would help too.

BTW, this SB again shows us that the NFL needs to have some kind of challenge system for blatantly missed calls like the facemask on the long TD and the phantom hold late in the game. Are they worried people are going to turn off the game? This is the same league where Thursday Night Football outdraws the NBA finals. They have the technology to let a coach challenge it and quickly have an eye in the sky ref correct it. Just seems ridiculous that this kind of stuff keeps happening, if human error is part of the game just eliminate all challenges.

Just got back from the parade. Well, I was too late for the parade but I got to the rally. Super fun! I mean, damn. 7 years ago, we didn’t even have a team.

And I’m still wondering why the Kings didn’t have a rally in 2014. And why the 2012 one was only indoors.

They missed the Rams false start on the go ahead score in the 4th. Three players moved before the ball snapped. No call.

They did have a rally in 2014. I was there and it was also in Staples. That's when Dean Lombardi asked Kopitar and Brown which Cup win was their favorite. And in unison they responded with "the next one". It was a good thought at least!

Oh yeah that’s right. I was confusing it with the Lakers’ 2010 championship. They had a parade but no rally. But yeah, I always wondered why the Kings only wanted to hold the rally inside. I wasn’t a fan of that.

Made sense to me. The Kings play at Staples Center so why not hold the rally inside where they play? Plus it allowed everyone to have a good view of the rally since it's being held inside an arena.

The worst part about both rallies were the presence of the absolutely no nothing politicians who knew jack shit about the Kings and hockey.
Totally agree. The pols know NOTHING. They even got several things wrong today: (1) one pol said the Rams were originally from Los Angeles. Wrong. (2) another pol was wearing a St. Louis Rams jersey. GTFO with that. (3) Another one said the Rams were the first team to play in Inglewood. REALLY, dipshit? OMG these guys were worse than the pols that showed up at the Kings rallies.

Yeah, when i heard the mayor say the Rams were born in LA....i turned to my wife saying does this guy not realize the Rams came from Cleveland?!?! And this guy Butts actually seems like someone who knows and watches the Rams/NFL (unlike most politicians).

I guess it's a good thing there weren't any parades for the Lakers and Dodgers to test that fools franchise origin knowledge!

Nah, it still would’ve been better in person. Other teams always held their rallies outdoors. I’m thinking it was just the laziness of the city that they could only do a setup for the parade but not an outdoor rally.

Say what you want about Chicago, but man did that city know how to come out and party for its sports teams. I wish I had taken pictures of what it looked like from my balcony when I was living downtown in 2010. It looked like a revolution was going on or something.

I just don't think it's in SoCal's culture to turn out like that, even for the Lakers.

Kopitar and Quick turned 28 that year, Doughty 25, Brown 30. Carter 29. They had won 11 of the 12 playoff series they played the previous 3 years. I don't blame them for thinking they'd win another, even if they might have been half joking.

Someone on this board made a deal with the Devil that expired when AMart scored.

After watching that abortion of a hockey game last night, I thought I'd cheer myself up and bump this thread up with this iconic photo...

Unless you’re someone that hates the Lambs (like me), so this didn’t work for me. The Kings are a walking (limping) IR team and probably won’t be making the playoffs this year.

So, you are having a rough winter? I mean, hating on the Rams after an NFL championship must be a rough ride. I remember watching the 49ers just about lock up SB LIV, and thinking how much dread I had to face with my relatives from up north. Then the 49ers and Shanahan choked up another late 10-point lead (seems to be a pattern here), and all of a sudden, I needn't have worried myself so much.

As far as the Kings are concerned, I think they will still make the playoffs. They needed these two against San Jose, because the real pain starts tonight against Florida. However, I think if we get some of our injured players back in time for the stretch run, we should be ok. We'll see.
