One run or less in 7 of their last 13 games, they're also giving up tons of runs. This team is crumbling in hitting and relief pitching. Better that it happens now than October, that is if they can figure out how to hit and pitch again.

The Dodgers are starting to remind me of the 2014 Angels who finished with the best record then didn't win a single game in the postseason. I would be surprised if the Dodgers made it out of the NLDS at this rate

Again, just to beat a dead horse, September performance does not correlate to October performance at all. No correlation. Whatsoever. Sometimes teams go into October cold and suck. Sometimes teams go into October hot and suck. Sometimes teams go into October cold and excel. Sometimes teams go into October hot and excel. There is just no correlation at all.

I know it's easy to get tied up in the short-term trends because we only move one day at a time, but the big picture is whether or not the Dodgers win or lose on September 8 this year it does not give them any more or less of a head start on October 6 this year. Every team goes into the playoffs 0-0. "Momentum" does not matter as the statistical history shows.

I think a big problem (aside from relief pitching being garbage and no consistent starters outside of the usual suspects), is that we all knew that their hitting would not keep up at such a torrid pace. They ripped up every pitcher they faced for a long stretch, but we all knew that at some point their batting was going to cool off and come back down to reality.

Absolutely, there's no question they managed to pull every big hit out of their collective ass for five months, but on the same token, they're also incredibly underperforming offensively right now. The real talent level probably lies somewhere in the middle, which means they're likely to regress back to normal at some point (hopefully in time for October).

Just for the sake of making a point, Granderson is running out a .050 BABIP as a Dodger. That's comical. His career BABIP is .292, and BABIP is a number that tends to normalize to somewhere around .300 for a large majority of players. His power and ability to work the count are still there. More hits will start falling in for him just as a matter of sheer statistical probability.

The team is not this bad. As good as they were for 5 months, they're on the opposite end of the spectrum right now. Baseball is a game of averages, and at some point it will start averaging out.

And I know that's not a satisfying response for those Dodger fans who have been waiting 29 years for a World Series title, but that's just the way the game works, unfortunately. I will be right there with you pissed off and disillusioned and depressed if they don't win this year.

But...

We have decided to subject ourselves to supporting a team that plays a game where failure is the norm. And failure is definitely the norm for the Dodgers right now. Let's just keep hoping they turn it around.

The Dodgers don't have a recent history of going hot in the playoffs so there's no reason to not be optimistic about their chances in October and their recent play isn't helping.

This team right now is making me hate the sport and baseball is definitely the worst sport where you have to endure a losing skid.

Thank God football is back. Well, pre-2016, I would usually wait for another month for the hockey season when the Dodgers would start sucking in September.

I knew that pathetic display by the team during Hill's bid for a perfect game would be the start of a bad meltdown. I want to believe things are just balancing out, but I'm expecting the same Dodgers we see every October.*

*World Series or bust

Seriously. For a while there it was like these guys cannot ****ing lose; now they can't even start. Instead of being in the middle of the road, they've simply hit both extremes. We just hope they pull it together again in time.

Already trailing 4-0. This isn't some bump on the road and we should really be concerned. We're beginning to look like last year's Giants. I'm sure their myopic fans thought they just had to weather the storm. But guess what, they haven't recovered since.

This has got to be some mental ****. They just totally forgot how to ****ing win.

EDIT: 9 straight losses bruh. Worst skid since the 63-win team in 1992. How in the hell do you justify this?

In before Roberts says everything is fine and continues to guarantee the division title.

Dodgers have also tied their longest losing streak since coming to LA.

Remember when the Dodgers were predicted to win 131 games? They'll be lucky to win 100, hell I'm not sure they'll do that. 10 straight losses!

To those who aren't baseball fans or couldn't give two ***** about the sport, I want your life right now.
That would be me. I have so many friends that are ready to jump off a cliff. It was quite funny yesterday when I saw one and asked the simple question, do you think they peaked too soon?
