Bulls knock off Syracuse in the Carrier Dome to move to 11-0! That's now two true road wins over power conference teams who could be tourney teams (and a neutral site win over another potential bubble team in San Francisco). Hopefully WVa starts winning more games to keep that win looking good...but these Bulls are for real. If they beat Marquette, then you start talking about what seed they're gonna get, not whether they'll have enough on the resume to get an at-large bid if they get upset in the conference tourney.

"Don't let the Griffs get hot"...is apparently something not heard by the North Dakota Fighting Hawks. The thirteenth-ranked program in college hockey made its first visit to HARBORCENTER ice this past weekend. Canisius used early third-period goals in each game to claim a sweep over the NCHC side, 3-1 and 2-1, respectively.

Be advised that the Bison's home opener is on Thursday April 4th at 2pm and our home finale is at 7 that night. Nice doubleheader!!!

UB opens talks on another contract extension with Nate Oats

Oats told The News via text Monday afternoon that his agent has begun talks with UB athletic director Mark Alnutt on an extension.
Oats received a five-year extension a year ago, during the Mid-American Conference Tournament.
Presumably, any contract extension talks with UB would involve increasing the buyout totals built into the deal.
The contract, which runs through the 2023 season, pays Oats a base salary of $600,000, believed to be near the top of the conference. (Akron coach John Groce has a $650,000 base salary.) Oats has other bonuses built into his deal. A $50,000 bonus kicked in when UB clinched the MAC regular-season title last week.
However, all power-conference coaches make significantly more money. The median salary of a Big 10 Conference men’s basketball coach is about $2.5 million.
Illinois, for instance, paid $3 million to Oklahoma State in 2017 to cover the buyout of coach Brad Underwood.

UB gets a #6 seed, will play the Arizona State (coached by ex-UB head coach Bobby Hurley, might I add)/St. John's play-in game winner on Friday in Tulsa.

EDIT: Game will be at roughly 4:00 on TNT:

Welp, looks like someone at ESPN is getting fired:

If this is accurate, the UB women are a 10 seed, playing 7 seed Rutgers in Connecticut on Friday.

And if they win, a matchup with UConn will (in all likelihood) be looming... :scared:

The Atlantic Hockey tournament semifinals will be this weekend at HarborCenter. Two local teams, RIT and Niagra, are one of the matchups.
