If the football team beats Ohio they have a good look at it. They’ll blow out Bowling Green in their last regular season game.

The basketball team should be. They were already regarded as one of the top mid major teams in the country before the big win.

So, the Knighthawks move to Halifax, then there is a new Knighthawks next year (ala Browns), and the Pegulas own both the Bandits and the Knighthawks?

Hmm...

Yes. The NLL has, at present, no regulations against this.

And this issue is likely to rise again; Joseph Tsai, the majority owner of the expansion San Diego Seals, has been bandied about as being the main person behind yet another attempt to bring the NLL to New York(if the league expands to NYC in the near future, as has been reported).

However, the NLL and its players association still do not have a deal in place; the latter has offered a 1 year deal so the new season can get underway while talks continue on a long-term deal.

I am under the impression the NY team will be playing at the Coliseum. I still remember the Titans at MSG, unfortunately there were only a few hundred of us who cared about the team. I am actually so happy my Wings came back, was a STH for the old team. NLL is awesome, there is nothing greater than Flyers/Wings doubleheaders at WFC. Hockey and box lacrosse are just so great.

The Bandits have signed the reigning NLL Goaltender of the Year Matt Vinc to a 3 year deal.

Ten UB players and Coach Leipold receive MAC awards and honors

OHagan-20180915fb-0440.jpg

On Friday night UB will have a shot at winning the program’s second-ever Mid American Conference Championship at Ford Field in Detroit, Mich. But on Wednesday night, All-MAC teams were released and a number of Bulls received individual honors.

A record 10 members from the 2018 UB Bulls were named to All-MAC teams, six receiving first-team honors.

It was well known at the beginning of the season that this year’s UB football team had a large crop of talent, but to have 10 players make All-Conference teams is extremely impressive. On the field, the Bulls set a number of program records this year and now they’re doing it outside the lines as well; six first-team selections is the most UB has ever had.

The Bulls selected to the first team were quarterback Tyree Jackson, wide receiver Anthony Johnson, center James O’Hagan, tight end Tyler Mabry, linebacker Khalil Hodge and defensive end Chuck Harris.
