It sucks anyway, but what i don't get is: if i'm reading this right, you have to live in Utah - and only 4 counties thereof - or be related to someone there to open an account. And there are only 8 branches in the Valley (and 2 in Las Vegas)...so...is this some sort of, like, LDS credit union or what? Are they planning on expanding their membership criteria?

Looks to me like they're the LDS version of USAA, but I can't imagine their benefits being as good.

I’m sure it’s just as good as any other credit union.
But boy to see USAA's insurance commercials you'd think they're really something special (why else would Gronk try to get in?)... however, when my dad passed i dealt with them for my mom's auto insurance and they're....not so special. Certainly not any cheaper. I suppose if you have a claim maybe they're awesome because "they know what it is to serve", but... I guess I qualify because my dad did a minimal term in the army 60 years ago, and I have no plans to switch to them.

Yeah, my dad was a naval officer, so I had them for a time. Horrible customer service. We switched to geico and couldn’t be happier!

I'm a USAA member and have done all my insurance and, lately, banking through them. They've been really good for me, but maybe that's because my previous bank was Wells Fargo, which, it turns out, is a giant scam artist agency.

When I moved here, I had been a member of the Kennedy Space Center FCU as a NASA contractor, so I tried to open an account with the Motorola CU, but they said "no, you're just a contractor, you have to be a Motorolan". So, undaunted, I picked Bank One, which became Chase, and I guess they're a big evil bank, but I've never had an issue with them. I've got free checking, free ATMs all over, 3 credit cards, a HELOC, and a mortgage at 2.875% that im 3 years from paying off. No problems.

Crow is not good at this. He was okay with the tiny money Apple was proposing. It's time to get out.

ASU said no? I thought I read they were both going.

I don't think they said no, the only headlines I'm seeing is Colorado and Arizona, they don't mention ASU. Then there is this article:

Apparently ASU hasn't shown a lot of interest, and couple that with their lackluster performances in football and basketball, apparently not as an attractive target.

The best report I've seen so far is Crow asked the ABoR to delay making a decision to give the PAC commissioner additional time to work with the schools on staying together.

With Washington and Oregon expected to receive invitations from the Big Ten today you have to believe the PAC is dead. I'd expect the next ABoR meeting is to approve both ASU and UA to the Big 12.

College football needs to institute promotion/relegation.

We’re seeing that happen now. Oregon State and Washington State are likely going to end up “relegated” to a lesser league. Have to see what happens to Stanford and Cal Berkeley. I‘m skeptical those two end up in the Big Ten.

It's so frustrating to watch the Dbacks try to hit these days, and it's extra frustrating that they brought in Pham because they wanted his bat, and he's actually been worse than Alek Thomas at hitting (the reason Pham was brought in), and they still throw him out there every day. Didn't like that guy before they even traded for him, and he's not doing anything to change my mind.
