math is useless
english is useless
german is useless
history is pretty useful
sciences are useful

i'm still waiting to be thought the things that matter in 10 years

don't be a rectangle?

This particular rectangle happens to be a square.

Also, bite me. Stayed up until 4am on this ****, on my birthday.

That was fun.

Got another day of continuous school work/work tomorrow, at least the brunt of my work should be done with by Thursday. Have a good one, everyone.

Not at all. English class is one of the few I've found incredibly useful. Analytical skills are the most important thing one can have out in the real world.

Oh my God. I ****ing love English class. That **** is my strength.

I hate English class. Seems like we overanalyze passages to the point of exhaustion. Like we should not be writing one page about a passage only half a page long. Makes no sense to me.

I was in honors classes all three years (took an internship instead of an AP/college course this year). Scored a 100% on my Regents examination last year. My forte, for sure.

Took standard English in Freshman year, then Honors, then standard again, then AP.

Its how I roll.

Despise English. Like and have respect for Philosophy.

Philosophy > English.

Also, "The Air Raid Siren" Bruce Dickinson now populates my profile picture! :yo:

You'd be amazed how analytic some people can get. You can probably find an entire thesis dedicated to a single line in a poem or book.

That's what I love about it though. The chance to make everything from seemingly nothing. To be creative and make connections is like.....exciting.

I wish I could have my Regents exam back from last year just so I could re-read my essay. I absolutely obliterated that ****.

You're smart. I like you.

Even if you're an anarchistic pessimist who could really use an ice cream cone or something.

The two are not mutually exclusive by any means.

I know, philosophy is based more upon critical thinking.

Essentially, all mathematics and sciences are based on the critical thinking and curiosity of philosophy. I am much more interested in philosophy than English.

Decartes and Newton were both scientists/philosophers.

I just don't like analyzing poetry (which I'm currently doing in 2 languages :()

I'd much rather analyze the meaning of life

Physics is the worst.

90+ student in all other subjects without trying, barely passing in physics staying up late at night.

A lot of equations and memorization, at least for Newtonian Physics. (F = ma, K_E = (1/2)mv^2, etc...)

I love Physics and Chemistry. Math, while mostly useless, can serve some purpose.
Never in my life will I need the things I'm learning in English

Pizza Hut is adjoined with a TCBY, so I'm not sure it's the ice cream that's holding me back.

I'm barely passing with adding up vector quantities. lol. :help: I've never struggled in school before at any subject, so this is pretty strange stuff to me.

Again, they're not mutually exclusive. Every author is presenting his or her audience with a thesis. Poems and novels can be quite thought-provoking and it's really gratifying when you're able to understand what the author is trying to convey and even more exciting when you agree with the premise.
