OT Thread XI: Where's the Beef

  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. haha it's not even that.... Sandy and the fear of Sandy made millions for The Weather Channel. They are trying to chase the dragon in the winter, also. ;)
 
I feel like storms should at least have cool names like Thor, Hades or Gary Roberts.

Becoming a casualty of Sandy doesn't sound very fun.

My friend who works for the weather channel said they have a fishbowl where people were putting in their suggestions for the names.

Someone wrote "Captain Nemo", and that got picked. They shortened it to Nemo.
 
Hurricane Gary Roberts sounds frightening. Like a storm that eats other storms.
 
And it also trains incoming storms how to be better hockey players.
 
Am I the only one that thinks the girl in Bob Richard's avy is ugly?
 
Ahhh man, I'm playing some EHM right now (i know i know flame away, whatever, I love this game) and I figured something out about myself. If I were ever a GM for a professional hockey team, my team would be full of European players. All I draft are fancy Russian sounding players. If it comes down to Bobby Tucker or Radislav Vykusovsky I'm picking the ladder 10 times out of 10.
 
Sorry if this has already been asked/answered, but when is it supposed to be get actually bad (like dangerous to drive)?

Have to travel tomorrow and I'm just trying to plan a safe trip.

I ****ing love EHM, so upset they stopped making it. I've been living off mods for the past few years. I hope the OOTP hockey one is good.
 
I would like to congratulate all of us at HFNYR for being better than average at being civil, loving and well-mannered and tempered than some of our fellow HFBoarders. Reading some of the stuff from the Islanders' GTD has increased my appreciation for the overall level of friendliness here and on our Threads in general.
