Computer science mainly consists of logic and math, applied to computers.

On an unrelated note, it's interesting that Chemistry is a required class in high school, but there are no mandatory computer science classes.

Outdated educational systems, they need a major revamp imo.

I dig it a lot man, and I don't usually like electronica. Maybe I'm biased because of that sweet beard you got there.

Thanks! It might also be because I don't think it really sounds like "electronica" per say, which is usually EDM or ambient. I write songs for this essentially the same way I used to write for metal.

But it is probably the beard.

English WOAT major and subject. Math > English 100% of the time.

WOAT post in this thread. Maybe WOAT post in HFNYR history. ;)

I'm History/Poli. Sci, who would also do English, Sociology, Anthropology, Asthetics and stuff like that if I had the time. Humanities>Math AINEC.

I heard some schools are getting rid of teaching cursive writing and instead are teaching kids how to type. I'm down with that.

Wouldn't be a bad idea. Honestly, my handwriting is sometimes a mix of cursive and regular. Although I think typing is a way more important skill to have than writing script.

I'm not a bad touch typist myself, I bough a mechanical keyboard with no inscriptions on the keys. It's helping quite a bit.

Agreed. I mean, if you have to learn covalent and ionic bonds, which I guess could be interesting just know and appreciate how life works, why not do the same for computers?

It's sad that some people just have no idea how a computer actually works, both the hardware and software.

Math has its ups and downs. Algebra isn't too bad. I enjoy discrete things.

The topology/analysis stuff, though...

I have no beef with certain humanities. From what I understand, philosophy gave birth to science and math, so I can appreciate that. A philosopher like Descartes contributed to science with his theory of the void.

What I can't stand is literature. Analyzing plays and books.

I type over 75 WPM, so there. ;)

It's always the beard. haha But nah man, I hear what you're saying. It's not typical electronica, It's got a different vibe to it. I really like the orchestra stuff man. I'm a sucker for music composition of any kind though.

Different strokes for different folks. I'd rather spend a year straight, 24/7, 365 reading/watching and then analyzing literature and cinema than spend one hour in a Math course.

You mean you personally can't stand it, or you disapprove of people who go into that field?

Can I see some problems?
