Holy ****! That is Alyssa Milano. Wow. Good catch Tawnos (you perv)
Weeelll... no Peter Gabriel on that album. He left something like 10 years earlier. Honestly, post-Gabriel Genesis is much better.

Woa.
And one of my parent's friends thinks the exact opposite.
He told me to listen to The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway.

Fantastic album. I also prefer Gabriel-era Genesis to Collins-era, although I like both.
I guess it depends on what you're looking for. For prog rock sound, Gabriel-era is better. For hooks, post-Gabriel is better. Prog rock never really interested me that much, so there ya go.

As someone who is into punk/post-punk/indie/art-rock/new wave/glam...what the **** is prog-rock?
Personally, I love prog stuff. I prefer more complex music to hooks and simplicity.

What's funny is that I really do like a bunch of the bands they mention in the opening part as prog. Jethro Tull, The Moody Blues, ELP, Genesis.
And yeah, King Crimson is a good example.
My standard for that kind of thing is the ability to pull off both.
Fair enough, I like that as well. Rush?
How about the opening scene of Commando when Arnold is just carrying a ****ing 12 ft log on one shoulder
Are the Talking Heads considered prog rock? Never had a good understanding for where that label stopped and ended.
