Foo Fighters, STP, Smashing Pumpkins, The Offspring, Alice in Chains, Beastie Boys, Rage Against the Machine, Toadies, Sublime, 311, Verve Pipe, The Nixons,

I seriously hate myself right now for forgetting RATM.

But wow, everyone you named is pretty much what I was down with.

With the exception of Alice In Chains.

4 great bands. I really like Filter's new song that is always on the radio.

I'm a big fan of Incubus too. They were one of the few talented bands to come out of the "dead puck era" aka the 00s.

Oh yeah man that song is great. Incubus was another band I used to blast back in high school. Pardon Me was the hotness for so long. Fungus Amongus is just stellar though. A lot of people who like their new stuff tend to not really dig that album but it's fantastic on so many levels.

Great unplugged song. They did a whole concert which you can find on YouTube.

I missed a bunch too. Silverchair, Soundgarden, Collective Soul, Seven Mary Three, Third Eye Blind, Green Day, Cake.

Edit: Uhhh... Nine Inch Nails!!

Silverchair was great. I was in awe at how young they were too when they first got signed. Pretty impressive although I know a lot of people who say they have no talent.

Third Eye Blind never had me. They were meh IMO.

Edit: LOL Yes! I was down with NIN but rarely admit it out of fear that people will imagine me as an angst filled teenager siting along in his room with voodoo dolls and a booklet filled with the names of mean kids from school.

I saw Stone Temple Pilots on the day they found Layne's body. Impromptu 20 minute AIC medley right in the middle of the show.

Scott Weiland is another of my favorite vocalists. Underrated.

Third Eye Blind was only ever there to lighten the mood.

Yeah. As much drama as Scott causes, the real reason STP went downhill was that the DeLeo's ran out of good material. See: Army of Anyone. I do have to say that their most recent effort, with Chester of all people, wasn't awful.

Well, now that you said it...

To be fair, that's pretty much how I imagine most people here to begin with.

3 bands from the 90s that I didn't like then, but have gained an appreciation for since...

Pearl Jam, Incubus, Red Hot Chili Peppers.

lol You sir, just won yourself the Touche Award.

Even Trent Reznor himself said he was embarrassed of his earlier music. He matured, and it was a good thing he did, because he is a very talented musician.

I always disliked Live.

Hansi Kursch is a good vocalist. Blind Guardian.

I was into power metal for a minute. Blind Guardian, Hammerfall, Helloween, Sonata Arctica. It didn't last. The closest I come now is Amorphis which, let's face it, is power metal lyrics in front of metal based on Finnish folk music.

Helloween! Michael Kiske is awesome.

I'm starting to get into more progressive stuff like Dream Theater and Queensryche.
