Bruno won me over with his modified charleston.

1- Boo to everyone complaining this was a bad Superbowl...Seattle's defense is really something and they were dominant from start to finish. Really fun watching those dudes operate.

2- Can't wait for the holier than thou crowd, or the racists, to crow on about how Sherman's injury was deserved karma for his **** talking. That'll be fun. :shakehead

It was karma. Whoops, I'm racist. :handclap:

wow that's rough. good luck! what class?

oh and we had a delayed opening at school, and I don't feel like treking thru the "snow" which is literally just rain. so i just made a self-mandated holiday for me.

It was Western Civ II. That test sucked balls. Thanks tho :~).

I almost forgot what snow is, it doesn't snow here, like ever. hehehe

Why must race be brought into everything?

But doesn't cost of living proportionally decrease as you have higher and higher income?

No??

The entry level cost of living takes into account rent in like lower Manhattan, Hoboken, or like Astoria.

Rent in those areas is generally between 1k and 1.3k.

As your pay increases you start moving to better areas. I think a Penthouse apartment just sold for like 51 million in Chelsea. Consider a player who wants to live in Central Park West... he'll likely be looking at living arrangements north of 2 mill. Consider a player who wants to live in Carolina... he'll probably be looking at a 10 acre mansion with every amenity known to man for 800k.

51 million in Carolina will probably buy you 1/4 of the state. *exaggeration but you get my point*

Cost of living only gets more steep when you get used to a certain way of life.

Not necessarily. If I could afford it I would go shopping at Whole Foods everyday and have a spice rack filled with Saffron and truffles. These guys dedicate their lives to making it in the NHL. I refuse to believe that any of you wouldn't do the same, unless this team had a legit chance at a Cup, which it doesn't.

So every time you double your salary, you double your food cost, your house cost, etc.?

I don't live in NYC.

I actually have never even been in the city.

I'd be curious how the "extra $ to be made because you're in NYC" actually plays out.

How does it apply in different sports c

How does it apply to stars vs normal players.

Fwiw, My uninformed guess on Rangers players would be that non-stars wouldn't make enough more to offset the higher cost of living.

My studio apt(very average building, not fancy) in Redondo Beach, CA was $1300/mo

In 1998.

Cali isn't cheap.

Continue here, please. :)
