You can also increase the number of posts/threads on each page.

That was there on the old forum. Though I do think this new layout will allow them more flexibility to make changes like a dark mode.

If you click the media tab at the top, there's a demo image of the site layout. I imagine they're going to add some things there.

Edit: aaaand they literally just added an option to toggle the sidebar

There is a search bar to the right of the HF logo. If that isn't what you're talking about, and are referring to the drop down box for quick navigation to other forums, just click that bar looking icon under your username. If none of those things help you, you're banned!
