final fantasy 14 is another mmo that hits the "just logging in to do a couple things" itch pretty much perfectly since you can do literally everything in the game with one character
So far just a Norn Ranger. Figured I'd get it up to level 20 or so before trying others. I do like being able to just hop on whenever I get a chance and run through a couple of things, but I still don't think MMOs are my cup of tea. I need to shoot things in the face.

I wish every sports game had a difficulty setting, where there was no difficulty to speak of. Players stats just interacted with each other for what they were. For example, just finished playing a game of NCAA 14 and my 5'9" 180lbs HB with a speed of 92 just got chased down from behind by a 6'4" 320lbs Defensive Tackle 20 yards past the line of scrimmage.
Yeah, cause that would actually happen irl
On a sort of related note, Madden used to have something a while back that I have never seen in any other sports games, and of course it was removed, but it was a variable difficulty setting. The CPU difficulty would adjust game by game to your performance, so the game was never too easy or too difficult. Too often in games I can't find a good difficulty setting because one level is too easy and one is too hard.
Still rolling with a 360 (bought a second 360 for my wife instead of buying a One). Is there some mode that you build teams with random player cards you open? Seemed interesting, but that's the extent of my understanding of it.
you can get a full roster of nhl players in ultimate team in less than a day
just have to know how to play the market
i have been playing ultimate team in nhl and fifa for like 6 years now though
I do understand where you're coming from, but I don't have the patience to play the auction house for hours in a day.
my current lineup on ultimate team (just started playing so it isnt very good):
landeskog - lindros (legend) - semin
skinner - datsyuk - ruutu
marchand - krejci - smith (dump all my boost cards on him so he is usually 93 overall)
foligno - dubinsky - horton
faulk - oel
markov - staal
niskanen - alzner
bobrovsky
smith
positions that badly need replacements: ruutu on second line is trash and needs to be replaced so i can put semin back on that line. bottom two lines could use upgrades to be more on par/better than current first second lines. defense pairings are all below average
lol that is a good team
Is it just me or do people immediatly rage quit in captains draft, like five minutes into the game they quit every time!
