1) Meh..decent. Upper, third base line.

2) No, was busy getting the family down to the game on time.

So, did you have cheaper options on tickets? Leave earlier next time. Regardless, point is, baseball is not very expensive and can be done for much cheaper than other sports.

I'm not getting your point. I'm not saying that I couldn't have gotten my 2 and 5 year-old boys standing tickets for cheaper. So....$12 for a beer and $8 for a slice of pizza isn't a rip off?

This is as much a PR move than anything else. Blank has pissed a lot of people off with his new taxpayer supported stadium. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the Ga. Dome and it made money year round. Falcons fans can count on a couple of pre-season games and 8 regular season games. The only other occupant is our new MLS team that will be gone in 5 years tops. Giving Blank his new stadium also pissed of the Braves who are playing their last season in Turner Field and moving to Cobb County to make the taxpayers lives there miserable. Meanwhile the City of Atlanta is closing schools and fire stations because they don't have enough money to keep them open? WTF is up with that? **** Blank, the Braves, and all these other gazillionaires that can't **** unless some taxpayer wipes his ass.

Yes, $8 for a slice of pizza is a rip-off. Especially Georgia pizza! The $12 for a Bud or Coors light is a rip-off considering you can get a 12-pack for the same price. However, if you are comparing to restaurants, it is not as offensive. Of course that depends on your location. Like I said, at a restaurant or bar near MSG, you are paying anywhere from $6-9 for a pint. So, 24 oz for $12 in the arena? Not as terrible.

You had me till here. Huh? What closings?

Gentrifacation saved a couple of schools intown. Mostly on the southside and the poorer neighborhoods where they could get away with it. Reed has been a disaster. The Braves story didn't break until a week after his re-election. So much for transparency.

I eat inside the garden a few times a year, screw jj and his ridiculous prices. I always eat either before the game or at a bar across the street and if i plan on drinking I'll drink before and after the game and only have a couple inside the garden... the food sucks and the beers are small and everything is wicked over priced. Id imagine lowering cost and increasing sales is possible to improve profits.

$10 for a 16oz Shock Top at Citi Field last night. Bought it in the Foxwoods (used to be Caesar's) Club. They gave me the can. When I asked for a cup, they said they don't give cups for Shock Top and I would have to over to the bar to ask for one. $10 for a beer and they wouldn't even give me a cup to go with it.

I once had a large Italian guy from New Jersey, who had recently relocated to Atlanta, describe the pizza there as "Just ****ing cardboard and ketchup."

What is "Georgia pizza"?

Pizza made in Georgia! He was referring to the Braves game, which is in Atlanta, which last time I checked was in the state of Georgia. Well, I was assuming he was talking about a slice of pizza at the Braves game.

The Hurricanes recently announced deep cuts to some of their most popular food items (hot dogs, popcorn, pretzels, nachos, soda all in the $3 range) for about a month. While it’s probably a short-term popularity booster by the new owner, it also suggests that this kind of thinking might be spreading.

Personally, I bought dinner for 3 at the arena on the first night of the promotion. I typically stay away from eating there, so even though I didn’t spend a lot of money it was a sale they wouldn’t have made otherwise.

The soda refill stations all over Mercedes-Benz Stadium are the greatest thing ever. $2 to drink all day, or for $4 you get a larger souvenir cup to take home. At Falcons and United games, I buy roughly $8-$10 worth of stuff each time, when before at the Dome I bought exactly $0, every time. I'd bet there are at least 10,000 people just like me at each game, who now buy stuff who didn't before.
