Oshawa Generals 2024 25 Season Thread Part Ii

I am pretty shocked that non of games 3,4 or 6 are sold out yet remember in 2015 the tickets sold out in minutes maybe that was the Connor McDavid factor

I mean currently there are only 118 tickets left for game 3. That's virtually sold out if you considered the 6200 capacity and puck drop is still 6 days away.

Many don’t think it goes to game 6.

McDavid sold out everywhere he went his draft year. Even kingston had a sellout when he came.

Bobber I don’t like either team in the finals but one things for sure. It won’t be the knights that lose in less than 6 with Barkey or without.

Knights are as solid a team we have seen in years. Haven't seen Oshawa with the exception if 2 games. Look like a solid veteran club.

Gens would win the title almost any other year. Unfortunately for them they play the knights that are even better than last year and last year went to mem cup final and lost by 1 goal. Knights are out for blood and coming aftee their mem cup title. after what happened to Oshawa last year- I’d be shocked if they’re not out in 4, potentially 5 games.


I got Medicine Hat vs London in the finals. If med hat gets Lindstrom AND basha back like they’re rumoured to be getting, I think they can knock off the knights. If they don’t get those 2 back I think London wins memmer.

Host team very weak this year. Moncton has been dominant in QMJHL but I don’t see them as good as London and medicine hat
 
I got Oshawa in 5 games, but I really hope I’m wrong. Ritchie, Marrelli, Sennecke, and Barlow will be monsters and I think they will be too much.

Nope, Barkey stirs the drink. His playmaking and vision with Cowan is another level. Cowan hasn’t had nearly as much space on the ice to be dangerous since Barkey got injured.

If Halttunen starts skating and being the beast as we know he is, Julien shows up, and Montgomery and Nurmi play like legit top 6, we’ll be fine, but not having Barkey hurts us too much.

But we have too much talent on this roster to blame the Barkey injury if we do in fact lose.

For sure, I’m the one anomaly, but I have been watching Oshawa games all playoffs, and their PP is deadly. Having Sennecke and Barlow on their off wings one timing it is deadly.

If we shut down Sennecke we have a shot. That guy is a beast.

I'm well aware of their strengths as well as ours.
 
No surprises or unexpected injuries for Oshawa. Full Roster tonight.

Torrence-Ritchie-Sennecke
Barlow-Griffin-Powell
Sinivuori-Rogowski-Buckley

Sandhu-Gibson

Oshawa gets 3 PPs and looked virtually ineffective. Have to take advantage of London when they make mistake to have a chance.

Sennecke can't whiff on open nets like that, not a good look from a 3rd overall draft pick.
 
Landon Sim seems to playing some Hunter Hockey tonight taking another penalty. The Gens better capitalize on the PP by taking more shots on net instead of making a perfect play to score.

oceanic are not a very weak team lol 96 point season there a solid team and will compete.
