Oshawa Generals 2024 25 Season Thread Part Ii

Based on the TSN TV Schedule

Here is my assumption for the first 3 games
Game 1 Thursday @ 7:00pm
Game 2 Saturday @ 7:00pm
Game 3 Tuesday @ 7:00pm

Winnipeg Jets fan, here. Congrats to the Gens on the playoff success this year.

There has been lots of concern about Barlow's production in the regular season this season, but it looks like he's really kicked it into gear in the playoffs. For those of us who don't get to see many games, how has he been playing overall? Does his offensive production reflect his overall play? Is his game well-rounded? How does he compare to other good NHL prospects?

To me, Colby Barlow comes across as a fairly one-dimensional player whose game heavily relies on his shot, and I’m uncertain how well that will translate at the next level. I don’t view him as a complete player like Calum Ritchie, or someone with the well-rounded offensive skill set of Beckett Sennecke.

It is crazy that both London and Oshawa has sold their home game tickets for the OHL Final without the OHL Releasing the Schedule.

Realistically OHL has had a couple weeks to set up dates for the final they knew which senerios it was going to be between Kitcherner/London, Barrie/Oshawa.

Than again this is the OHL they never fail to amaze us with being incompitent.

It's not just the OHL now though. This is TSNs baby to broadcast. They likely don't want to conflict with the Leafs schedule or other high profile sporting events. I'm sure Oshawa and London have already submitted their preferred dates.

If you look at the TSN TV Schedule, they already have dates and times blocked off for CHL Playoffs

Thursday May 8
7:00 pm CHL Playoffs
10:00 pm CHL Playoffs

Friday May 9
7:00 pm CHL Playoffs

Saturday May 10
7:00 pm CHL Playoffs
10:00 pm CHL Playoffs

Monday May 12
7:00 pm CHL Playoffs

Tuesday May 13
7:00 pm CHL Playoffs
10:00 pm CHL Playoffs

Wednesday May 14
7:00 pm CHL Playoffs

Considering OHL and WHL Finals are Set and the Q is set to go at least 6 games you would assume OHL/WHL are set for the dates where there is a 7:00 and 10:00 games on same day

Well ignore that just looked and the WHL Finals have been set and those time slots don't match up.

2Spokane@Medicine HatSundayMay 11TBD
3Medicine Hat@SpokaneTuesdayMay 13TBD
4Medicine Hat@SpokaneWednesdayMay 14TBD

I was going to say, WHL has confirmed a Friday start

Anyone having issues buying tickets on website?

I've been having issues since 10am and still unable to get a purchase through

What is also funny is that on Thursday, after the game, Shane Hollandshead said that since both OHL Conference Finals were over, the league would expedite the start of the OHL Final. Here we are, almost 48 Hours later, and the OHL has yet to announce the dates for the finals.

Safe to say he’s gonna be a big riser in the draft

It said it was only available as a " repeat " game for the final series when I signed up. Last year it was on both. Not really interested in watching once we know the score.

I will check though in case I misread. Thanks .
This says it's also on live on CHLTV

Ya I just read that. So I have no idea what they were saying originally but as usual sometimes I think they have no idea themselves. Anyway thanks for this as it sure reads that I will be watching Thursday.

It appears TSN is trying to go opposite of Leafs/Panthers to not compete against sportsnet.

Leafs/Panthers schedule is:
Monday May 5th
Wednesday May 7th
Friday May 9th
Sunday May 11th
Wednesday May 14th
Friday May 16th
Sunday May 18th

That puts Londons currently schedule all on Opposite days so Oshawa is likely to follow suit.

Very very very likely Generals/Knights schedule:
Thursday May 8th London
Saturday May 10th London
Monday May 12th Oshawa
Tuesday May 13th Oshawa
Thursday May 15th London
Saturday May 17th Oshawa
Monday May 19th London
