Ah i didn't realize that was a thing.
So in other words he should be suspended by this weekend sometime lol..
He's playing his role perfectly. My gripe with the Gens roster early in the season was it's extremely skilled but didn't have much grit in the bottom 6 for when guys take runs at the skilled players. His fights have been:

-In WSR vs Nesbitt after someone went at Sennecke
-In PBO vs McCallum because McCallum was trying to fight Sennecke so he stepped in and took the fight
-in OSH vs Hamara after Hamara had a bad hit on Barlow
-In OSH vs Bottineau after he had a very lat hit on Sinivuori

He's making guys answer for taking runs at the skilled guys, and then kicking their ass. Love that from him and he needs to keep doing it. He's not going to play every game so suspensions for doing his job is fine, comes with the territory

Yea early in the season i was hoping Oshawa would grab Konnor Smith for that very reason but if he can fill that role maybe a more skilled Dman should be the target.

I thought Kitchener played you guys really well last night they managed the puck well the first 40 and pressured the Gens into a lot of bad turnovers last night.
I see area of improvement on the backend and would like to see another addition there.

They will definitely add to the backend at the deadline (or before). This weekend Gens were much more bottled up defensively and Sunday was very playoff-game like. The game in KGN the defensive approach probably cost the Gens a win but I'm fine with that if it leads to a better overall defensive game

O'Toole is doing what Dave Cameron converted Horner from D to F to do, but over the years someone convinced Horner he was a skill guy and now doesn't do it anymore lol

So frustrating. Totally agree except Horner isn’t really a heavyweight. More like a middleweight at best. Thomas Sirman was the same. All of a sudden, chatting it up was more effective than smashing a face?

I'll never forget as a rookie him challenging Dylan Roobroeck and Roobroeck beating his face in. That was borderline scary to watch

That look on Horner's face resembles the look on Noah Roberts face the day Konnor Smith got a hold of him in Peterborough last season.
There was a meme going around for a bit.

Take away the 4 close wins against the sad sacked Pete’s and the Gens are still just a .500 team…
Yeah before they had their guys back they weren't good lol.

Since Ritchie has come back they're 6-1-0 including wins over Kitchener, Brantford and Kingston who are all projected at the top of the standings this season. With their only loss being a 1 goal loss to a good KGN team where the game was tied late in the 3rd. Clearly this is a different team with one of the best players in the CHL back in the lineup

Definitely possible. His mom owns the OJHL team he plays for though. But he has the same agent as Danford, Sennecke and Barlow..
That would take some convincing then to leave that team. Maybe Rocco will sell her the Gens lol. Seriously tho would add some nice size on the backend. See if mommy wants him to really develop in the best league.

Could go either way. Either he doesn’t come because of that. Or his family just wants him in the best league and you get him for free because most teams would make you pay a transfer fee but they likely wouldn’t

Gens pick Luke Posthumus decommits from Northeastern. He had a good year in the OJ last year but has struggled in the BCHL this year. Not sure if he’d help the Gens or not

Skills comp was cool tonight. I was shocked how many players were laughing and joking with Barlow though since everyone hates him???

For a second I started to think that was a completely made up rumour that isn't true.

But that can't be..
Glad I got to see this before it’s deleted. Well played.
