I've heard this take a couple of years back, only from some internet forum member was complaining about xenophobia against people with Russian background, a year after Russia launched a full scale invasion against Ukraine. We would be fooling ourselves, if we were to say there are no parallels with what Ukraine situation (first Russian misinformation campaigns, followed by election interference, then annexing the Crimea, and finally, full scale war), and what Canadians are enduring at the present.

It's amazing the mental gymnastics some will go through to defend the aggressors. On that note, I would hope that people boycott the National Post, Sun Newspapers, Rebel News, etc. These organisations are only "Canadian" in name, but do everything humanly possible to work against Canada's best interest.

You have to think of how much money the Trudeau government spent on building up EVs. Critical mineral mining plans. Billions in budgets allocated. Mostly to f*** Alberta any way they could, while taking their money to Quebec every year.

Now the whole Ring of Fire comes into question, that was Ontario's and Quebec's next big next step, mineral mining on treaty lands. Trump has his eyes on Greenland. A lot easier to extract minerals, oil and gas from there. Don't need to go through every treaty territory with a briefcase to get what you want. Fight through the courts... Just take it. Don't even need to lockdown the country to build a pipeline that the government bought and ran about $20 billion over budget. And then put in a Carbon Tax to pay for it.

Then you worry about the price of groceries in the real world. Why can we grow weed everywhere in Canada with hydroponics but not vegetables?

Pretty easy to knock off governments if the CIA does what they do best...read about Venezuala in the old days.

Canada doesn't have the infrastructure to rely on anyone else but the U.S in trade.
