Not sure how political we can get but these are not ordinary times we are about to enter. We will soon be experiencing things we have never thought possible in our lives.

Most Americans don't give Canada any thought at all. They aren't attacking anyone. They would just like to see the problems that they face within their border addressed, including poverty, homelessness and opioid crisis

Calling Canadians xenophobic in a thread where Americans are part of the discussion is pretty funny

I've heard this take a couple of years back, only from some internet forum member was complaining about xenophobia against people with Russian background, a year after Russia launched a full scale invasion against Ukraine. We would be fooling ourselves, if we were to say there are no parallels with what Ukraine situation (first Russian misinformation campaigns, followed by election interference, then annexing the Crimea, and finally, full scale war), and what Canadians are enduring at the present.

It's amazing the mental gymnastics some will go through to defend the aggressors. On that note, I would hope that people boycott the National Post, Sun Newspapers, Rebel News, etc. These organisations are only "Canadian" in name, but do everything humanly possible to work against Canada's best interest.

Our Government kills the Northern Gateway and Energy East so we have no way to pivot from sell to other parts of the World... we must sell to the U.S. refinery capacity at a cut rate because we don't play, nor are we equipped aka refining capacity in Canada, to play the Global game...

A fun fact all pipelines from out West all go through the U.S. to Eastern Canada...

Another fun fact... Environment be damned... Most Eastern Canadian oil products by volume are delivered from nations other than Canada including a large volume from Russia... why is this happening if Canada matters, why is this happening if Canadians matter... ?

And no safe pipelines to move said oil... into a small numbers of monopolies domesticall;y decided upon out East by the usual suspects...

The spirits of Lac Megnatic and the surviving families want to know what you will do to bring back their son's, daughters, relations and friends...
