The way this has played out, we know three players we're getting and we won't be taking them until the very end.
Four years ago i had the last pick of the OPPF and i, finally, picked a member of the Montreal Canadiens.

The OPPF drafts has made me think there is a depth of top-end talent from Montreal & Detroit... absent certainly from two other O6 clubs.

Pretty sure I know which ones you're thinking of.

Oh yeah, now ... we have.
It must be as sweet as my pre-draft realization that the 4th best Hab and 4th best Bruin fits great. :) ... (Detroit, too, but positional need made a difference.)

On this topic, tony d will have the last laugh. Do the math.

(Hint: i ain't burning a Hab pick as a backup unless i'm otherwise set and in f-up mode.)
Yeah, we considered that when we took Beliveau, but decided we were happy with the guy we're going to get and having Beliveau.

Every decision has opportunity costs.

The OPPF draft is that aspect of life on steroids.

Go through one door and three others close.

*whew*

We dodged the reunion of the awesome Ducks duo. The team was bad, and looked worse, because when Selanne, Kariya and their defensive pivot Rucchin stepped onto the ice, the game changed, starkly.

(Hebert in net is on my top-80 list for the HOH project because he and the wing duo were heroes incessantly for an otherwise subpar team!)

It is great to be part of an all-in core of 4.

Heck, all ATD board drafts share the magic: we are all in. We don't drop out and disappear or make yahoo goofy picks. This board is gold.

Elsewhere there's most often half participation and few serious guys.

I planned all along to do it on Monday.

Note: we all have kept our rosters updated, so THAT has been the best resource. #weareawsome

All part of what RB calls being a draft degenerate. Lol

We're an odd bunch and I think we all know it, but I think there is value in preserving this history and we're helping to do it.
