Since he's our best C, just give Plekanec the best wingers once and for all. What did DD do to deserve the best wingers all the time? And what Plekanec did to deserve to play with average wingers?

agree, DD is not a first line center! unfortunately our barin trust seem to think so. He needs to be on a third line but making to much money for that position.

Final Stab at this.

Bourque - Plekanec - Gionta

Pacioretty - Desharnais - Briere

Galchenyuk - Eller - Gallagher

Moen - White - Prust

Tinordi - Subban

Markov - Gorges

Murray - Diaz

In terms of what we'll see from MT, this isn't bad at all. I'd agree with having Tinordi just stay at home while Subban pinches. Though it's alot of minutes his job will be simple, and Subban will have his back. If he does struggle we can always swap him and Gorges.

Also I hope that there is a more even TOI distribution between the DD and Eller lines. Might as well use our depth to our advantage. Gallagher proved he can handle top6 minutes, and so did Eller. Galchenyuk will be fine to take on a bigger role like MT said, hopefully they aren't strictly seen as a "3rd line"

Don't get me wrong. I think bournival is ready. Even though he's listed at 6' he's got a low centre gravity. Hard to knock off. He made a serious case to stick around this year. Got some leadership and plays like 27 year old vet not a 21 year old rookie. Tinordi and Pateryn are front runners to make the club. I'm surprise how well Pateryn has played. He's big and physical. Can also move the puck and has a rocket shot. I think he's a stud too early to tell if we won the grabovski for Lang and Pateryn trade. Tinordi is physical but a little slow. He needs to adjust. But likely will be on the team. With drewiski out one of them could make the club.

There certainly are better prospects but, as of right now, Bournival, Dumont and Pateryn are the best of the lot.

At this point, everyone should consider Bournival as serious contender to be part of the line-up.
If Gionta is not ready, you look at Bournival, Leblanc, Thomas and Collberg (in that order).

Seems about right but I could see maybe moving Gallagher up with Pleks and Bournival on the 3rd line unless he continues to impress for the rest of pre season.

Also Pateryn over Tinordi at the moment for me. Tinordi is playing again tonight though.

I think Bournival and LL are the ones that showed to be the closest to the NHL. Too bad one was sent down already.
Disappointing to see guys like Blunden, Dumont, Tarnasky, pretty much do nothing, again, while LL was sent down.

Gionta's ETA is early December? Don't toy with me!

No it's not, I have no clue what that guy is talking about.

Gionta will be ready the first week, if not the first day.

He must be thinking of Emelin.

We're playing Toronto in the first game. If anyone thinks Parros isn't dressed for that game they are out to lunch.

In fact, all 4 tougher guys will be in, as they should. Parros, White, Moen and Prust. Murray as well.

Bouillon was an unnecessary signing.

Parros is injured.. and I'm a little sour about it because he was guaranteed going to deal with Orr.

Would like to see two of Tinordi / Murray / Pateryn in the lineup to start the season please. They should join Subban, Markov, Gorges, Diaz. (Let Cube rest.)

How about rolling 4 offensive line against some team?

Bourque-Plekanec-Gionta
Patches-Desharnais-Briere
Galchenyuk-Eller-Gallagher
Bournival-Holland-Prust

And against tough team

Prust-White-Parros

Please get rid of Moen ASAP!

It's a long season. Moen may yet prove his worth.

I also think that Thomas will get some games before the season is up. Dumont too.

Not so sure about Leblanc or Holland...

Once Soup and Murray are healthy they'll slide into the bottom pairing and Parros would be playing instead of White but he's hurt.

It's pretty much a lock so why bother with training camp :) I think Drewiske and Leblanc will be picked up on waviers.

Thomas on line one??????!!!!!!!

Only in Hamilton.

Can't wait until Emelin joins Subban and Tinordi back on defense. We will be much tougher.

At least Price will be protected in his crest from now on with at least one of Subban, Tinordi, Emelin and Murray on the ice
