I wonder if the decision to move Berrios up was to go against Fitts and not waste him in a matchup we will be hard pressed to win, against Crochet.

They just said on post game that the Jays have gotten the 2nd most innings out of their starters so far in the league. Not bad.

I am going to call him Lucas Easton, because Easton Lucas makes no sense. Anyway, watch the offence hit some homers tomorrow off Crochet. Baseball is a funny game. Lucas will be good.

Some more of that well-rounded offense we're gonna need more of this year... gotta find more power, but everyone but Bo and Roden got on base at least twice.

I thought Santander had a few really good at bats - drew a walk and hammered a few balls right down the line. No huge results or anything, but progress.

The starting pitching has been outstanding. I really like the contributions of our youngsters Roden and Wagner, there’s talent there. Gimenez is a player, makes all the smart plays. What a pleasant surprise Springer has been. I predict we get a few homers tomorrow.

Lukes took a lot of (legitimate) criticism for his dumb baserunning play but I feel like he deserves a mention because he otherwise had a terrific game. Two hits and was great in CF - his hustle on the double Roden mis-played on the first pitch of the game ended up saving a run as that would have been a triple if Roden had to retrieve it, and he made a couple other very nice plays showing good range, especially a really nice sliding catch on a ball to the gap in the 8th.
