OOT scoreboard 2025 playoff edition

It’s the NHL. St. Louis is going to go on a run to the final and Bleed will have to deal with Binnington hall of fame debates

I said it the other night, some guys have the mentality to win titles and some don't. Marty was like that, he'd give up a shitty ass goal and come back with 5-10 saves in a row. People can shit on Binnington for his regular seasons but he's probably the best big stakes goalie outside of Igor/Vasy in the sport. His 2019 Cup run, 4 nations stoning the US in OT before McJesus won it. Helly just doesn't have it when it comes to the playoffs.

The regular season doesn’t matter at all when your goalie shits his pants in the playoffs.

I’m all for dragging Hellyebuyck after some of their fans yelled at me for not wanting to trade for Helly enough, but key guys were/are injured.

Elhers is in his 2nd game back after being out for last couple regular season games and the first 5 in the playoffs.

Villardi missed the last 11 regular season games and the first 4 in the playoffs.

Their center depth is dire after losing Scheifele (injured in game 5):

Good luck with this defense if Morrissey is broken, plus Samberg is also playing hurt.

Presidents Trophy is usually a curse. High expectations, your club hasn’t had really to compete and be desperate all year, if there’s a club streaking into the playoffs that has had its back against the wall (like Florida against Boston 2 seasons back) that’s your match up.

And now St. Louis’s hitting has knocked both Scheifele and Morrisey out of the series.

Tbf, they also overplay the guy. We had that same issue with Marty post lockout when we played him 70+ games a year and they lost to dogshit ass lower seeds in round 1 because Marty looked exhausted. I think that's the case here with Winnipeg. If you're them, you get a backup that can legit play 45% of the year and let Helly worry about the playoffs.

I'm still caught off guard by the fact that Ryan Suter is still in the NHL.
Oldest skater in the league this year. Currently oldest player with Fleury's team now knocked out and him being effectively retired.

Fair enough. He has played at least 60 games the last 4 years. The last time he didn't play 60 games in a regular season the regular season was only 56 games long.

I don't know though. Should he really look this cooked by the first round?

Marty looked pretty bad in the first round in some of those years, but this is really next level stuff.

That last goal was overplayed by Hellebuyck.

I'm probably not giving him a stoppable goal for it, just the second one. But I'll need another look.

But it wasn't a great angle, but the shot was from fairly close range and it didn't leak through him, so I usually don't count those stoppable.

But it looked BAD on the behind the net came and not so great on the others.

He has been beaten and embarassed short side so he was giving nothing to shoot at there. Unfortunately he gave a lot to shoot at on the far side. He was also deep in the net and if he was expecting a body save he didn’t come out at all on the angle. He never moved on the shot.

Back breaking goal. And horrible turn over at the other teams blue line led to the rush. I didn’t see who the forward was but horrible turnover.
