But that looked kind of bad. I'm only second guessing it because Hellebuyck has been terminally ill in these playoffs (and last year too), but his movement and guessing.

I remember how much shit Marty was given for some of his bad playoffs, which look competent in comparison to Hellebuyck these last two playoffs.

I shat on MAF a ton between 2010-2013, but he was already a cup winning starting goalie and back to back cup finals appearances as a starter the two years before that stretch.

Hellebuyck has been to the conference finals once in his career. And that was 7 years ago.

Blackwood was so far to the other side of the net the puck going off the skate had nothing to do with that goal being scored. Rantanen could have missed the net and it not go in.

With some bad luck the puck could have went off the skate and went wide.

I guess you can argue Rantanen’s contact with him prevented him from getting across (it shouldn’t have been called back for goalie interference though) but that puck off the skate had little to do with that.

I nailed him on the first goal too, but it was a pretty good shot and not a terrible goal.

Come on dude.

This is being dishonest. Rantanen clearly made contact with Blackwood, he had absolutely no chance to make it back to his post. I would argue that he actually played it well given that all Rantanen could do was throw a prayer at the front of the net.

I understand some of you don't like Blackwood bur he had nothing to do with this loss. None of the goals he allowed we bad in this game.

That second goal was bad . I dint get why Helle is so brutal come playoffs . Even during the regular season I don’t see him as a Vexina goalie . His numbers are good but more a product of the team in front of him . He is just a big oaf where the puck hits him rather than him making an actual save . He isn’t very athletic . Just a big sheet of plywood that stays square to the shooter .
