Avs board also hates Cale Makar after this series lmfao
They had to.Maybe they shouldn’t have traded him eh
Cmon guys. His leg got hooked when Rantanan went past and he couldn't recover.Yeah he played that goal so badly it's kind of irrelevant it went off a defenseman since he left that area open in the first place.
Can we interest them in Playoff Palat and a slightly used Dougie Hamilton?Avs board also hates Cale Makar after this series lmfao
Healthy scratch. Played 1 game, looked lost out there, and was a -3Is Miles Wood injured or just a healthy scratch?
Some people have pointed couple players, but nobody remembered these gems still playing in the playoffs:Blackwood is playing terrific. Outside of Hall, there are no other former Devils in the playoffs, which should tell you the utter level of suckage we've endured. I can get on board the MB39 hype train. (but then again, I am a goalie lover)
They really thought they were going to absolutely destroy the league after Makar emerged like 5 years ago with a multiple cup dynasty. To be fair I kind of thought so too. But some bad luck (Landeskog and Nichushkin missing multiple seasons worth of games) and bad goaltending and they are gonna probably look back with disappointment given where they thought they would be by now.Bunch of whiners. Canadian fans would KILL for that from their own teams. Hell, must fans in the league would.
I'm sure the Avs bench had some talking about challenge that goal, they probably couldn't take the risk in 2-2 Game 7 but still
Absolutely moronic for them to have traded Rant. Guy is a top 10 forward in the league. Did they buy into this idiotic idea that MacKinnon was making him look better than he is? Or did they just want to pinch pennies?
Trade winds up being a double whammy of shit because he winds up in your division playing for your closest competitor.
Necas is an “ok” replacement but if they don’t win another cup they are gonna look back on this as the worst decision the franchise ever made. Doubly so if Rant gets a cup with
Blackwood was so far to the other side of the net the puck going off the skate had nothing to do with that goal being scored. Rantanen could have missed the net and it not go in.People talking about that wrap around goal? Blackwood's defenseman put it in off his skate. Rantanen was in no position to get the puck on an angle that came near scoring. He threw it in front. It didn't go in off of Blackwood. Just a bounce off of the D. I can't believe people ragging on Blackwood about it.
If I want to ding Blackwood I'm probably looking more at the first goal, where everyone loses their gap on Rantanen and he gets to circle back into the middle and walk down the slot. Or the power play winner, where the D lets the puck right across the seam but Blackie might arguably have reacted quicker.
Really strange series of events late in the 3d. Makar breaking his stick when Tee'ing up a one timer on their power play with about 7 minutes left was a major turning point that led to that game tying goal.
Bill Buckner has the ground ball go under his glove stuff . . .
