OOT scoreboard 2025 playoff edition

That wraparound goal was horrible.

“It went off a skate though!”

A skate of a guy that was on the other side of the net while Blackwood was still parked at the other end.

He would have had to miss that shot for it to not have went in with how far away Blackwood was.

That or Girard’s skate would have had to maybe send it wide instead of in.

Yeah he played that goal so badly it's kind of irrelevant it went off a defenseman since he left that area open in the first place.

My Islander buddy was texting me after the Stars went up about how useless Nelson was and how old man Lou got that trade off. Might be some of Lou's best work as an Islander GM and it was his last move
Also why I'm not too worried about dealing off contracts, 95% of the time you can find someone to take a bad contract

Eh, it kinda depends. I think Dougie can be our version of 2019 PK but it has to be a team where it makes sense. Ironically I think Dallas would love him, they need a PP threat with a bomb shot and their RHD is abysmal. They have guys like Lybuhskin/Ceci there

Harley is an RFA after next year. They aren’t taking on Dougie’s contract.

It looked like Blackwood was hit by Rantanen on the way by, not sure he manages to make it back to stop that puck anyway given how far he came out, but yeah some real Vanecek stuff on that goal.

Dallas probably becomes a strong favorite if they can get some bodies back.

I guess Hellebuyck can turn it on at any time, if he escapes tomorrow night, but I like a healthy Dallas team over Winnipeg.

St. Louis probably shouldn’t go over Dallas, but they’ve been the hottest team in the league for several months now.
Hot or not they'd be on the golf course right now if the Jets were getting .900 goaltending

As long as Vegas is alive Bettman will see to it they get every advantage.

I'm sure the Avs bench had some talking about challenge that goal, they probably couldn't take the risk in 2-2 Game 7 but still

Bunch of whiners. Canadian fans would KILL for that from their own teams. Hell, must fans in the league would.

I mean, I kinda understand it because what are the chances you're going to wind up with Makar/MacK type players in the future. But at the same time, I agree with you. The Avs should have been the Kings/Hawks of this generation and they're most likely going to be a one off.

Their management look like f***ing morons.

Should never have traded him. Let alone spending assets on shite like Ryan Johansen and Brock Nelson. Smartest guys in the room. Big brains.

A lot the MacK merchant looked like it was true for a bit especially his short time in Carolina, gotta give Rantanen credit for going supernova the last 2 games. That's gotta be one of the best performances in NHL history.
