Avs announcers are legit the worst in the sport, holy f***ing homers
PBP guy’s extremely flat “Score” when the other team scores is pretty hilarious. The old PBP guy who has since been moved to radio is the same thing.

And their color commentator is a failed comedian. His “top shelf! Where mama hides the…..” calls are so stupid.

He once said “Top shelf! Where Logan O’Connor hides the….three Logan O’Connor’s!” And another one was “top shelf! Where mama hides the….what do they hide in LA? Hairspray!”.

He’s such a lamer.

My favorite

They’ve dropped into last place. Really says something about where they were sitting before this that it took them only getting 3 of 26 pts to fall down to last. Wheels really fell off the wagon

The wheels fell off officially when they lost that 4-1 lead in the 3rd against the Avs to lose 5-4 in regulation. They had started that game up 4-0 after the first.

Then soon after for a few games they blew multi-goal leads from the 2nd or 3rd period to lose.

I think that happened at least 3 or 4 times after the Avs game.

The wheels just flat out fell off.

Wonder how much of that is ruff or the team. I know they didn't allow him to hire his own assistants.

Also important to note Dahlin left that game Colorado game early. The only game he's played since was against Toronto on Friday. He then was out of the lineup again last night. They're just a completely different team with and without him on the ice. They're good when he's out there and awful when he isn't. At 5v5 they have a 56% xG and up 22-17 in goals. Without him they're down 45-54 in goals with a 46% xG.

Wow didn't realize Dahlin was out since then, practically. I knew he had left that Avs game.

Brutal. I was sort of rooting for them to turn it around, and was following their scores since that Avs loss, and that's why I know they a bunch of games after that.

I actually feel bad for Ruff. It probably isn't supposed to be THAT bad.

Were they in a playoff spot when this losing streak happened? Or just barely outside of one? I remember them being a point or two out around Thanksgiving when I declared the East teams might already be set, just the seeding would change, but that Buffalo could get on a run and switch places with Boston lol.

I’m not sure how many games into the losing streak they were, but not too many. Their first loss of the streak was the day before Thanksgiving.

Meanwhile, it’s been the Rangers dropping out in favor of Ottawa.

Their last win was November 23rd. They were 3rd in the Atlantic on pts. By pts% they were WC2 and we were WC1

As painful as it is, might actually have to root for the Rangers today. Having Carolina lose is more beneficial in the standings and I at least want to see the Rangers hang around the wild card race and see them go and fall short of the playoffs versus selling off vets and retooling.

Yeah I'd definitely rather see the Rangers win. Let it be a repeat of the Dallas game where Igor just stands on his head. Their schedule over the next few weeks is so bonkers that picking up a couple wins likely won't matter that much.

F that. Obviously no 3 point game, but we play Carolina twice later in the week. We can take care of them ourselves.

I rarely ever watch the Rangers because they always score right away when I watch. I'm putting my powers to good use today. Vesey scores 17 seconds in.

Canes are like our late era playoff Lou teams, great in the regular season but they won't anything in the playoffs. Next to no star power to break games.

Shesterkin today so it may be Quick tomorrow for us. But won’t be shocked if they just ride Igor into the break. They will try hard to get back in the playoff picture

I think goaltenders are statistically pretty bad in the second game when they play two nights in a row but I have no doubt Shesterkin would buck that for us haha
