11th best xG% with him at 51.95%. 3rd best since at 56.47%. Interestingly their GF% dropped from a league leading nearly 63% to under 50% but they've still managed the 2nd best record in the league over that period. Special teams must be cooking. All situations they have 37 goals on 40 xGF since Ovi went down and had 78 on 65 to start. So even with the shooting regression hitting they've managed the 2nd best record in the league. This is a legitimately strong team that people are underrating because they lack name value stars.

lmfao Ovi had a 50.72% xG at 5v5 with a 81.48% GF at a 22-5 goal differential. He literally had a worse AS GF% than he did at 5v5 lol. It was "only" 77.27% and 34-10 differential

I don't know how they're running the lines now but he was with Protas and Strome. They had a 52% as a unit. Without Ovi they drop to 41% together. Protas no Strome and Ovi 46%. Strome without them has been very good at 56%. Even if Ovi drags down the xG numbers I think he's an overall positive

Hawks winning would be very very nice considering the Caps next game after would be the Canes and either outcome there sucks.
