OOT Scoreboard 2024 25 Season Part II

I completely forgot about Hall on the Canes 👀

I’d rather the isles win their game in hand on the Rangers. None of the schlubs below us are a threat to us. If we don’t make the playoffs it’s on us.

I just find it comical if the Rangers get shut out of the playoffs this year.
 
I was always looking at who's behind us, yet they still can't catch up with the exception of the Sens, no matter how bad we've been.

I never looked at anyone above us for a long time other than the Canes. At this point, how the hell are we 6 points behind FLA and TB, and 7 behind the Leafs? Yeah we've played a few more games but holy crap, we've been a floundering mess for 3 months straight.

Holy shit the East is really bad.

Watching the Canes game and it’s obvious the much better their bottom 6 is than ours. Some of its luck though . Who would have guessed Jankowski would catch fire and have like 7 goals since the TDL . He is the type of player I’d like for our bottom 6 to replace Dowling / Bastian / Tatar / Haula.
Martinook / Jankowski types . Not these limp noodle types like Haula and Tatar .

He currently has 7 goals on 10 shots.

Canes don’t look like they’re gonna be of much help today either. Already blew a 2 goal lead in minutes.

Kochetkov with a real softy of the night candidate on that first goal.

It’s funny that now they’re finally handing him the keys and seem to be hardly playing Andersen at all, despite him playing much better when he’s not on IR.

It looks like they’re already turning to Kochetkov unless he falls apart.

I’m surprised they’re not playing Andersen more.

I’m not sure about that. I wanna know why he hasn’t been pulled from this game yet.

I’m not sure about Kochetkov not starting the playoffs as the starter is what I mean.

Not that I’m not sure if he has poise to play in the playoffs.

Gotta go with your veteran, Freddy really had one bad playoffs series and it was last year v NYR that I can remember in his time in Carolina. 2023 he was good all playoffs and especially versus us besides that one Game 3 where we ran them off the ice from the first shift. He'll be the starter until he gets blown up. The Devils have a MASSIVE goalie advantage going into that series especially if Markstrom can tidy up soon

Kochetkov is winning this game for the Islanders so far.

Goals 1 and 3 were both horrible. Both from Engvall.

He should have been pulled after coming out and allowing an early one in the second after blowing a 2-0 lead before that.

Second one was awful rebound control, all 3 have been bad

No one has a realistic chance at this point. Moneypuck has our game tomorrow listed as "not so important" for our playoff odds.

It's all but settled.

We are 11 points from clinching. That's any combo of 5 wins by us or loses by teams behind us plus 1 OT point. There just isnt a realistic situation where that doesnt play out.
