Overrated team with a bad head coach.

If the guy’s name were actually Dick Tanket and not Rick Tocchet nobody would give a shit about him.

I wonder if he ends up back on TNT next year if they miss the playoffs this year.

Let me rephrase that. They aren’t overrated right now. People picking them to be a playoff lock was grossly overrating them.

I don’t think there’s too many people standing here right now saying they’re a good team.

Their season reminds me of us last year which is funny cause their last year was our version of 22-23 for them, so they're just a year behind us :laugh:

One team managed 30 shots on goal last night. The recent stretch by NJ looks to be becoming the norm around the league. Look at the shot totals. Pathetic. Even from good teams. If the league turns every game into a slow clutch and grab fest casual fans will start tuning it out.

I’m sure the fans of those two teams were into it. But my kids weren’t and my kids are a lot more important to the NHlL than any established fan. My kids are precisely the fans the league wants to cultivate. Also their friends. I can promise you they are much more interested in exciting game breaking highlights than fights or slow clutch and grab snooze fests.
 
Watching a few minutes of Boston and Florida. There was a play with about five minutes left in the second where a Panther gets knocked down in the Boston crease and he starts kicking at the puck and thr goalie while laying on his side. Multiple times. It should be a penalty. Really dangerous play.
 
I still can't believe we lost to thatEMBARRASSMENT of a Sharks team TWICE in REGULATION this year.

Just a complete and utter joke team.

Went over 20 minutes without a shot on goal against the defensive powerhouse Utah Hockey Club.

Like I said, JOKE team.
 
Even THG on Youtube, who is almost as pro coach as a member of the media is taking shots at Tocchet the last few days and even suggesting he could be fired after this year if the Canucks miss the playoffs. They are his favorite team though.

He mentioned in the game review for last night's games that he's reminding him a lot of how it looked in Arizona. He's saying a lot of the same things and they're not scoring like they didn't in Arizona.

The Canucks are in a rough spot. Their best player applied pressure to them in contract talks (Pettersson with the demand the team be better for him to sign) and then he pulls a bit of a disappearing act. Then the Miller Pettersson story comes out and the front office has seemingly tried to trade everyone on that roster with no success. I know Canucks fans hate thr owner and I ca. see why. The owner is unrealistic according to reports thr management are uninspired and the players can’t be a unified group. Tocchet is no Scotty Bowman but what’s he supposed to do? As brilliant as I am I couldn’t coach that team.

I don't think it's Tocchet's fault this year, as much as it was no credit to him that they were good last year and his head coaching career in the NHL is hilariously bad.

Last year was his only playoff berth in a season that wasn't abruptly paused.
 
Caps are not going to lose at all this season.

They are going to be the usual Regular-Season Champions and then sh*t the bed (on schedule) in the playoffs.

That was a good game. I didn't watch much of it before late in the 2nd period.

Crazy finish. Panthers tie it with 2 seconds left in regulation, Bruins literally win it with 1 second left in OT.

Horrible O-zone penalty by Sam Bennett in OT.

I thought that was for sure going to a shootout, which means I turn it off.
 
I’m starting to get back into watching other games now. I think I’ll watch another before ours starts!

*looks at games and sees it’s Seattle-Buffalo and Ottawa-Pittsburgh*

Yeah, on second thought think I won’t. I’m pretty sure Seattle is the most boring team in the league and Daccord is playing, so I can’t even watch it to laugh at Grubauer today. And the Ottawa Travis Green’s against the nursing home patients has gotta be a tough watch.
