Bad night overall. Rangers and Habs win. That moves the gap to the fallout line to 2.5 games over both (Habs move into 8th on pt%). Rangers are the key team to track because of the Metro. They didn’t lose ground on Columbus but the gap remains 3 games. They are now 10th.
Ottawa has also passed us on Point%, but stay in WC slot because of divisions.

I think this is it for the Jackets.
It would be an embarrassment of a season if we missed the playoffs only for one of the Blue Jackets or Canadiens to get in over us.
I'm pretty sure the Canadiens aren't making it, that's another humpty heater. But they could if we fall out.

This Dallas-Colorado should be a good one. Rantanen return, 4 point game, potential playoff matchup, elite talent on both teams.

Meh. How much of Dallas and Colorado’s record is being able to beat up on Nashville and Chicago more than pacific teams?
Teams don’t play equal schedules so quirks like this don’t really bother me.

Oh my. That wraparound goal was just sad. He didn’t even look like he was even thinking about trying to make it over to the other side of the post and was just relying on one of the skaters to break it up.
