I wasn't much impressed by Colorado tonight.

But I realize that scoring just 1 goal on most teams is basically 2 goals on us/Vitek.

I wonder if they'll give their shaky and inexperienced backup another game against us tomorrow? Or will we get Georgiev on the second night in a row?

And f*** the Leafs fans who weren't happy with me last year for not buying the season he had last year. That's looking like an up season. Guy has been bad most years in his career. Clearly 22-23 was the outlier.

He's only played 5 games in the NHL. 2 in each of the last 2 years and 1 this year.

He was the goalie in net against us last year in Colorado when we scored a bunch of goals early and looked like we were gonna run them out of the building in the 1st period. Then Vitek had one of his worst games of last year and kept them in it. Schmid got put in I rhink in the 3rd period when they got it to 6-5. Schmid didn't allow a goal and we won the game, perhaps with an empty netter?

I don't know much about him. Goalies seem to look better on Colorado. Grubauer has been a joke since he left there (although he was good in Washington before he got there) and Francouz somehow played well when both his hips and knees were shot. Then Georgiev last year. This year not so much? But the underlying numbers for him aren't bad this year.

So he could be boom or bust.

His last two years in the AHL have been solid. The first year? Not so much. His NHL numbers are really ugly, but he's only played 5 games.

When the hell isn't Vitek a pinata this year? Against Columbus that one game? That Boston game around Christmas?

Granted, he played well against Tampa, but color me highly skeptical that this is the start of a dominant second half lol.

Was a nice break from hockey for a bit. Was excited to come back...then I see the Rags and Isles fluke out 2 points as per usual.

As has been the case for a while now, I consider us not getting embarrassed a win at this point. Break the shutout and don't give up double digits. That's my realistic expectation.

The high energy in both games tonight is probably a sign of what to expect tomorrow. These teams were not tired. Both games third periods had more continuous action packed into them than you often see in an entire game.

We were so tired before the break. There’s no excuse for that tomorrow.

I’d love to see a team like the Leafs lose out on a playoff spot because of their worthless joke goaltending.

It would be nice to see that happen to somebody else also.

We seem to not play down to the good teams. I’d be more frightened if Seattle or some shit (we’ve played most of the other bad teams at home already and won’t again this year lol) were tomorrow’s opponent rather than Colorado. We get Seattle next week at home though.
