Talbot was AWFUL in that game last night. And Levi gave them two freebie softies early.

Fifth goal was a softy of the night. It looked a lot like my softy of the night on Markstrom the night before.

Now I understand why they've been mostly playing Rittich over Talbot the last little bit.
Levi looked beyond awful in the first but recovered and was very solid the rest of the way. At the end of the game when the Kings pulled Talbot and Dunleavy noted it Rayzor quipped that they had already been playing with an empty net the whole game.

Igor doesn't have terrible underlying numbers this year or even particularly bad, but they're pretty average.

He's gotta have that Kolesar goal. He's gotta get a glove on that or a shoulder on it.

And then they score again right after that.

3-1 Vegas.

Let's go Panthers. They're currently tied 1-1 with the Penguins. There's a better chance they help us tonight than Montreal helping us against them tomorrow night.

Giant Emblem shirt's Shesterkin has given up 3 goals on 9 shots.
Two nice tips in front, but he's gotta have that Kolesar goal.

Vegas hasn't looked anything special tonight. Two deflections and a stoppable goal and really no scoring chances beyond those.

I like their chances better with Hill than Thompson, who looked like he was melting down from playing all the games with Hill out.

Rags a first round exit
Carolina definitely look ready to pull ahead of them for the division lead.

It's nice to see the Rags with mortal goaltending for a bit.

They're lucky either somebody told Quick he needed to reinvent himself or Quick told himself that. They'd be in the toilet with this painfully ordinary version of Shesterkin and the Quick of the last few years.

Probably not the toilet, but they'd definitely be down there in that bumper to bumper gridlock with us, Pittsburgh, Washington (they really should be in the toilet, but I've been over them enough, same with Lou's disaster of a team), the Islanders and a couple of the bubble Atlantic teams.

They'd be around us if Quick was normal Quick, maybe even below. Shesty looks god awful, I don't want to say the league has caught up to him but everyone is shooting high glove on him and its actually going in 8/10 times

I'd have to think if Quick was normal Quick, he may be in Hartford by now with Domingue as the NHL backup. Maybe Igor even plays more games than he's already played in that case, with an unserviceable Quick and a bad Domingue as the only options beyond him?

Florida is doing the idiotic goonery they pulled against us last year. Double minor in retaliation to a hit on Barkov, now they took another stupid penalty.

I wouldn't nail Shesterkin on that last goal, but holy shit, he's all over the place. He went slippiing and sliding.

You can tell he's not on his game by that last goal.

2 Rags got beat to the front of the net, this core is rotten to the core. They need a massive trade in the summer like a Kreider

I've been saying this for a while now, but the Drury regime doesn't strike me as one that's gonna last very long.

They're already on their second coach in just their third year.

They don't look like they're gonna make the conference finals this year, barring Shesterkin turning it back to 2022.

So it's looking like year one could very well be their highwater mark under the current regime. Maybe they do make a shake up trade like you said?

And then they let Chuck's brother, who could have been a potential homegrown head coach get plucked away by Edmonton, because they wanted to bring in the biggest name possible in Lavi. They were even willing to pass him over to hire Hiney Head, who seemed to be their second choice behind Lavi lol.

If scores hold, besides the Canes…the Metro teams from 1st to 7th are 3 and 20 in their last 23 games (I’m serious)

Absolutely wild
I'm so slow it took me a few reads to understand this.

I'm assuming you mean the last 23 combined games between every team that isn't the Canes (or Jackets) ?

One of those wins has to be us against Vegas on Monday? I remember the Flyers also won a game this week I think? Maybe the Islanders in Roy's debut over the weekend?

Never mind, the Flyers are on a 3 game regulation losing streak. They haven't won since the blowout win over the Stars before we played them. That's also who the Islanders beat in Roy's debut.

Correct. 3-20 since last Saturday

I don't even wanna guess the third win? The one I didn't get.

I know the Pens have lost a couple or three in a row.

I don't even wanna know the score of their game right now. I'm trying to stay away from that. That's the anxiety I get over this. That's why I've had it parked on the Golden Knights/Rangers game all night. I'll check the score to that other one at 10:00 or after 10:00 when it should be over. Unless this broadcast spoils it for me.

The Rags win in Anaheim where they lucked out on an overturned goal

Their biggest f*** up was never offering Lafreniere or Kakko for Eichel. If they did that then you could go to Zibanejad and tell him "take this discount deal to stay with your boy Kreider or we're trading your ass to recoup assets". They also could've went into 21-22 with Eichel and Zibanejad and probably win the Cup with how Shesterkin played that year and at that point, who cares if Mika walked? He's their biggest issue currently, he's going through the motions whenever I watch him. He's not dangerous 5v5 at all, he's a powerplay merchant to the tee.

If you don't take penalties against the Rangers as always,..they cant beat you. Now that their goalie is having a down year, they're def beatable.

If Panarin doesn't show up, it's a free win

And we thank them for keeping both while Eichel won a cup!

Kakko is on pace for I believe 10 points as a #2 overall pick, right?
