They started out 11-0-1. Until recently, they've been basically NHL .500 since then. Their last 10 have put them at 31-27-7. Doubtful there's a repeat coming.

It's not completely out of the question they choke out of their playoff spot to St. Louis, but probably not.

i wouldn't bet against vegas, no pun intended. when you have teams of that elite caliber who have all the right pieces (vegas, colorado, boston etc) it honestly just comes down to who gets hot at the right time.

Indeed, tonight's loss was very bad for them. If they don't show up Saturday and lose to the Islanders somehow, it's gonna be two fold bad for them because Canes will probably hunt them down for the division + that's gonna be their R1 opponent
