This board is so fickle. He was dominating before the injury. More of a confidence issue these last few games and needing to get back in a rhythm. And also, Freddie is the starter, Koochie is our #3. Despite what a few on this board may claim, Freddie will be back.

I never saw any dominance. I saw a lot of bad positioning, a lot of puck luck and a good team in front of him. What goalie plays the short side with half his pad inside the goal?!? He has had, and still has, all sorts of positional issues.

I’m not saying Kooch was any good, the first goal was high school bad, but the other three all had devils players behind the defense going in all alone on the keeper. That is crap defending. Jersey used their speed to expose bad defense. Turnovers high in the offensive zone turn into odd man rushes which turn into breakaways. There are many reasons for goals, not just ‘the goalie sux’, which he did….

Seems to me like the Staal line has been dogshit the past five games (1 point), and Rod leans on them too much. Their offensive numbers have come back down to earth and the way our roster is set up right now it’s like they’re icing three 3rd freaking lines.

There isn’t a single line that has 3 legit first line players on it right now, yet there are at a minimum of 5 should be first line players on this roster. Stop trying to spread the god damn scoring out.
