Hits him on the crest and let's out a three foot rebound. Yep someone else's fault.

I get it, you want to blame Bouchard on the giveaway, but that's on the goalie. It wasn't a high danger chance.

How many times did that happen in the Minnesota end and how many times did the Oilers bang it home? Did you see Minnesota defensemen tie up sticks? Yeah because that’s how defence is played

How tf is campbell making 5 mil a season
Because Holland imagined Campbell's hot streaks could just be his every day game

Also with Skinner not established we needed a goalie

But yeah a better bet would be to get a guy short term so you can try them out to see how they fit in

That's an easy rebound to control by a NHL goalie, theres zero reason for a shot that hits you in the crest to fall 5 feet infront of you.

Don’t disagree but when you watch the replay in slo mo you see the puck bounce off Bouchards stick. If Bouchard takes the man, there’s no shot. Not a good save. Not good defence. Compound errors.

Yup, good effort. Got them PP opportunities which were squandered. And passive own zone defending bites them on the ass ... again. Too much erratic in their game and the forward depth hasn't stepped up.
To be fair, we' ve outplayed every team we've played except for Vancouver in the first game and the second half of the Philly game. Its the goaltending and D that lets us down consistently

It's simple. It was poor rebound control by Campbell and a misplay by Bouchard, why does it have to be 100% on one or the other? They were BOTH at fault.

I think rebounds happen. Just like they did in the Minnesota end. Difference is they boxed out and tied up sticks
Sure, they happen, they shouldnt when its a 50 foot wrister into the logo.

Because, Bouchard shouldn't have to do anything there if his goalie wasnt the worst goalie in the NHL.

I didn’t blame the forwards. Haha. I called Bouch out for being softer than dog shit on the first goal in another post. Second goal he was weak too. His defence is as bad as his offence is good. He needs to be better
My bad, someone has to just lay into the guy for his inability to defend. Puck comes out on a rebound, 2 wild players? A proper defenseman gets between the puck and the net and tries to block a chance or just shows more effort to get to the puck, this idiot just bats the puck away ro the center of the ice and waves his stick.

1st goal, he stands next to the forward instead of in front or behind him to tie up thier stick. This midget level defending wouldn't even get by in our beer league.

No second effort, just waves his stick. He is doing this because he hasn't been told not to. These coaches are done man.

Does it matter where the shot hits them? So if that shot was low blocker and ended up in the same result you would be good with it?
Back to my point on not understanding goaltending.

That is the easiest location to hold onto a rebound.

Campbell also hooked Bouchards stick, stopping him from clearing it.

Haha, i'm one of the few people who usually defends Campbell.

Better luck next time though.

There isn't a whole lot you actually get though, so not surprised you wouldnt know that.

If Bouchard played the puck properly, the rebound could have been swept away. Hockey is usually a team game for the most part and this was a case of 2 guys in particular not doing their job.

I thought you were a Campbell fan btw.

I don’t understand goaltending? Sorry, I did t know I was speaking to Patrick Roy.

You’re right- it’s all Campbell’s fault. I think he also took out McDavid.

Did see that rebound in the Wild end so don't know what you're referring to.

Campbell interfered with Bouchards stick as he was clearing it, causing him to barely touch the puck.

Meet you half way. They didn't outplay Vancouver in the season opener and went into a sleeper hold in Philadelphia. They have generally had good compete level but absolutely self sabotage has hurt the team. However they have to get more people covering chances into goals.
