Anyone want to take a shot at the roster now with the re-signing of Doty and the fact that Andersson and Bjornfot possibly playing in the AHL.
Wild guess:

Andersson Tynan Fagemo
Ward Turcotte Madden
Dudas Thomas Chromiak
Lee Helenius Wagner

Doty
xxx (an invite makes it?)

Bjornfot - Spence
Tobie Paquette Bisson - Grans
Nousiainen - Allard

Villalta
Copley

Frk signing with the Blues is interesting. Means one of the young guys will have a chance to play in a top six role which is what many of us wanted, but at the same time that's a huge part of Ontario's offense that's gone. Ultimately it's better for the organization, but not gonna lie, it was fun watching the team win and score so much.

And Frk was one of those sneaky dirty players which was really fun to watch too.

When does AHL schedule come out? Will Kraken team be playing their games in Palm Desert this season?

Sorry couldn't tell ya re: the schedule but yep, the Coachella Valley Firebirds are ready to go:

Would be nice if we inked Nikita Pavlychev to an AHL contract.

Spread the size up and down the lineup with Lee and Helenius in the mid-6, Pavlychev and Doty on the 4th.

Just look at that neck.

Thank you for your service and best of luck Brett Sutter.

Dayum Brett was a fantastic Captain for the Reign. He stood up for the kids, fought when he needed to and led by example was a great leader will be missed and not sure who will take over his role. But guess he's going home. Thanks and good luck Brett.

The Colorado Eagles just signed goaltender Lukas Parik who I believe still belongs to the Kings in NHL rights for another year. Just wondering if there’s any insights about him as a player and this situation with the player?

He's a talented goalie with size. Adventurous with the puck. Not expected to be a star, but could still be an NHLer. However, with him signing with Colorado, the writing is on the wall that the Kings are parting ways with him.

I'm a writer/contributor for Mayor'sManor, who provides Kings-related content. The editor, John Hoven, wrote up a comprehensive article about all the goalies, based on his discussions with people inside and out of the organization. Here's the article in its entirety: LA Kings 2022 Prospect Rankings – Goalie Depth Chart

I won't post the entire portion on Parik, but here are a few points:

For Parik, this season has been all about his adjustment to pro hockey. While his key numbers are about where they were in the WHL, he has benefited greatly in the structure added to his game in the ECHL compared to his days in junior. At times, he’s still a bit too aggressive on the ice. Coaches are working with him on finding the balance in aggressive movements and athleticism. They want to harness those elements and make them part of his secondary game, not primary. Ideally, he’d play with structure as his first skill set, saving the athleticism and aggressiveness for when needed.

While we remain extremely high on his overall ceiling, there are diverging opinions within Kings leadership circles on if Parik will reach his full potential. “Parik’s tools are undeniable,” as one source mentioned. “He has high-end potential.”

So, what’s the concern then? From all indications, he doesn’t have an attitude problem; he can simply be a bit stubborn at times. “He’s strong in his beliefs because that’s worked well for him up to this point,” said a different source. “That confidence isn’t always a bad thing either.”

Thank you for the info, exactly what I was looking for. I wonder since he was on a AHL only deal prior and this about his stubborn nature it’s he who wanted a change of scenery because it does sound like he was fairly highly thought of as ranked number 2 in that article.

I'll be honest, I'm not completely sure. It more than likely is a mutual agreement/parting of ways.

He was my favorite goalie prospect as far as ability and achievement, but the Kings also are seriously lacking a blue-chip goaltender.

The Kings currently have 6 goalies under contract.

As with Quick for many, many years, Petersen is going to block other goalies, forcing them out. With Quick, it was because he was the undisputed 1G(in addition to a decade long contract). With Petersen, he might be the 1G, but, good or bad, he's likely not going anywhere for at least the next 3 years.

And goalie is a play or sit position. With F's and D's, you can play around with their minutes and roles on the team. A goalie is either in the game, or not. And they're also not worth a ton in trades.
