They should make it a rule that players over 27 can't play in the AHL...or the teams can only carry 1-2 of those kinds(career Minor Leaguers)!

There is a rule.

Of the 18 skaters (not counting two goaltenders) that teams may dress for a game, at least 13 must be qualified as “development players.” Of those 13, 12 must have played in 260 or fewer professional games (including AHL, NHL and European elite leagues), and one must have played in 320 or fewer professional games. All calculations for development status are based on regular-season totals as of the start of the season.

Pretty sure there already is a limit on the number of AHL vets that a team can ice. Don't recall the number off the top of my head though
 
Henderson commentator said Byfield is 19 years old? Amazing since his B-day is in August and the Kings just drafted him as 18 year old...not too smart that boy
