Three full time RHD ahead of him. I thought he looked reeeeally good this past season. Poised, calm, and occasionally physical.I don't know if Strand will ever make the NHL full time, but I saw enough to make me think that bringing him back for at least another season is a good idea. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm of the opinion that you play the best 6, right hand or left hand. If Strand is better than Clague, then put Walker up with Doughty and fit Strand in. Sean Walker's versatility means you don't have to have three L and three R.
Agreed. I fully expect the acquisition of a top 4 D. Strand could be a #7 so the Kings don’t have to play MacDermid back there.Yeah maybe, but I just don't think this is a defense that is competing for the playoffs:
Walker - Doughty
Bjornfot - Roy
Anderson - Strand
Most here wouldn't mind a 2-3 year deal for the reasons you mentioned, but I just can't see him wanting to sign on a rebuilding team at this point in his career. I can see him signing on the cheap in Toronto.I honestly wouldn't mind signing Ryan Suter for 1 or 2 years as a placeholder while Grans, Faber, Spence, Nousiainen, and Doyle develop.

Colorado, where a top few dmen of Makar-Toews-Suter-Girard-Byram is just about perfect
Isn’t Big Mac suppose to play the wing this upcoming seasonAgreed. I fully expect the acquisition of a top 4 D. Strand could be a #7 so the Kings don’t have to play MacDermid back there.
It’s one thing that we heard he’s working out at forward, it’s another if he’ll play there in the NHL.Isn’t Big Mac suppose to play the wing this upcoming season

If he’s on the wing, someone’s getting pummeledI'd be STUNNED if Mac ever played a shift in the NHL as a wing. If he does, the rebuild has gone astray!
I might just have to renew my AHL subscription again this year. Turcotte, Kupari, Thomas, Madden, QB, Fagemo, Movarare and company all returning. A year older with more experience might not be a bad thing to do. A lot of losses still but it will be fun to watch.
It's definitely worth getting because you can watch the games on demand if you miss them live. The Roku app isn't bad. I could never get it to work right on my Apple TV.

Sadly we may not see Thomas until late November. Recovering from dual shoulder surgeries this off season.I'm definitely planning to go to a few games, this team is going to be very exciting to watch this season. I think Turcotte and Thomas in particular are going to have monster years.
With the Canucks moving their AHL team to Abbotsford, I will get to watch the reign in person twice in October and twice in November. Cannot wait!I'm definitely planning to go to a few games, this team is going to be very exciting to watch this season. I think Turcotte and Thomas in particular are going to have monster years.
Looks like the arena in Ontario is a 45 min drive from my place. I tried to see if ticket prices were online, but didn’t see any prices. Anyone know the cost of seats there, ideally down low and near center ice?
