Oiler fans said that last year too

This team was also 2 wins from a trip to the finals last year and that was with Trouba and Goody. Carrick has played better than Goody and Borgen has been better than Trouba. If a few guys put it back together they could easily be a tough out. Half the team isn't playing great and they are 5-0-2 in their last 7.

This team is Jekyll and Hyde.....no clue which one shows up.
Problem is even if the defense is better, last year we had a lot of good things happening offensively. Panarin had a career year, so did Trocheck, so did Lafreniere, Fox was a PPG player, Kreider had 39 goals, and while Zibanejad was showing concerning things he still had 70+ points. None of that is happening now, and on most we're not even close.

Plus a failed Michigan. And I'm fine with all of Mika's attempts in comparison to Lafreniere, who looks like he's been chugging New England clam chowder before every period.
it's unthinkable how mid laf has been. he should be f***ing flying out there dropping his nuts all over the ice. he had the swag he has the skill he has the pedigree.

where is the want? the will? the bubbling f***ing core of competitive desire?? when will he stop being complacent being one of the guys and f***ing be The Guy

I was rooting for Florida but Edmonton seemed like the better team. Almost pulled off an incredible comeback.
And the Rangers were 1 OT goal from pulling ahead 3-1 against Florida. Point is, get in and anything can happen.

In the famous words of John Mason: "Losers whine about their best, winners get to go home and f*** the prom queen."

Agreed and that is why they had an absolutely brutal stretch. They also killed it in the beginning of the year. If they turn it on they could beat anyone. I am not saying they will but there are a lot of mediocre teams and no one is unbeatable.

I'm some what famous for my great ideas and I just had another great one.

I would make shootouts be limited to 5 skaters. If the skaters can't score then the goalies have to shoot on each other. If the goalies don't score than the head coaches have to shoot. If the head coaches don't score then the teams announcers have to shoot.

I also would reward the winning teams players with 30 chicken, pineapple, and bacon pizzas from Pizza Hut for extra incentive.

Okay guys who is with me? ☺️
