Karri Ramo is still looking for work. Will probably give you as good or better performance than Pavelec, and could be had for much, much cheaper.

Anyone suggesting San Jose as a landing spot is picking a narrative that simply won't happen.

1) They have barely any cap space. $3.9m would make him more expensive than Jones.

2) Dell, the back up, is on $625K. No GM in their right mind would look at Pavelec on 6 times the cap hit and deem it smart, even if they think he's better.

3) If the Sharks were going to claim anyone on waivers, Condon at $525k would make MUCH more sense.

Seriously, where do some people concoct these ideas?

I wonder if SJ would take him if the Jets offered to pick up half his caphit

I don't think any Jets fan expects any team to claim him. The only way he moves is if we retain salary. Perhaps a team who needs a back up and has a spare 5/6 LHD on an expiring contract? I also don't think that the Jets would bring Comrie up for any reason so if there is an injury Pav's will be back up with the Jets.

If they did, I'd seriously question the competence of San Jose's management. Pavelec at 50% retained is still ridiculously overpriced for the level of goaltending you're likely to get.

And more importantly, compared to what is available for much less (i.e. Dell, Armalis or even Condon...) when you're up against the cap...

I know it's extremely silly, but for some reason I read Palat instead of Pavelec and my heart skipped a beat.

Off to the AHL he will go.

I heard he was being sent to the WFL . I am guessing he won't report as he doesn't want to get lit up by a woman floor hockey team

Seriously this only makes the Jets a better team . Best move the Jets made this summer . I see it as a 10 point improvement
