Maybe I should start seeing this stuff as a macho-nerdy, live-action cosplay thespian thing. Then I might enjoy it.
Game 6? Ya. Last game at Busch II
I think Husso's confidence should be back. He played an excellent game. He didn't play MacKinnon's last goal well, letting it go in on the short side, but MacKinnon lifted the puck high and did all that at great speed, like only he and the few other top superstar forwards can. And, clearly, Husso expected him to take longer to set up his shot, so he was waiting to be able to react to the move, and so he was caught watching, to late to make any move. The Avs have been watching film of him, and know he usually cheats on covering the short side. THAT weakness, and his not being proficient in back-handed passing and stickhandling and making outlet passes are things Husso needs to work on intensely, this coming offseason. his playoff stint has brought out his weaknesses, so he's knocked his potential UFA contract down from $3 million to $1.5 million. So, The Blues can afford to re-sign him, and they can't get all that much for him in trade now that his value bubble has burst. So, that is good for The Blues, as Hofer and the other Blues' goalie prospects still aren't yet ready to play back-up in The NHL. perhaps they could have gambled with Lindgren. But, I think Husso has a better future upside, IF he can work on his weaknesses, and bring them up to back-up league average level.Having Chucky in the room might be making the difference.
If we can get Husso's confidence back he may become a wall again.
How do you know he was banned? Just curious.MacChoken gets a hat trick and they still lose. Blues PP goes 0-3 and they win. Husso plays like dog shit but Keumper plays like horse shit.
Shark fan trolls and we win and he gets banned from website.
chuckie 3:16 says you guys just choked a 3-0 lead on home ice
someone else said he was banned in thread earlier so assumed he was.How do you know he was banned? Just curious.
I know they ended up losing the series but man….what a f***ing shot lol
Absolutely legendary HR. And I remember it just completely broke Lidge for a few years.I know they ended up losing the series but man….what a f***ing shot lol
Did he ever really "recover"?Absolutely legendary HR. And I remember it just completely broke Lidge for a few years.
Did he ever really "recover"?
He had the good year in '08, then went back to being bad.
Outside of 2019, this might be my favorite blues game ever. At least since Monday night miracle.
Avs fan coming in peace (honest).
Obvious out of the way. Good game tonight. You guys attacked when we turtled and that’s key in those situations.
Reason I’m here tho. I’m hearing that Krug might be back for game 6. Any validity to that? If so, what do you guys think of it?
Personally, if he’s back, I see it as a home run or strikeout situation. He’s coming back from injury and (from the sounds of it) could be still recovering. So maybe he fits right back in and crushes the Avs, but maybe he’s missing a step and messes with the chemistry that pulled off tonight’s W.

Our powerplay is god awful without him or Perunovich so if he can play it's a bonus no matter what.
Agreed it will be an improvement on the backend, but don’t forget they were 2/3 on Monday and 1/1 in game 1. They haven’t been Panthers-ing it up.
1- He's been skating in practice for a few days now. Would not surprise me at all if he's ready Friday. I was half expecting him to be in there tonight.
2- IF he plays, we likely go 11-7 again with Walker sitting. That way we can hide him on the 3rd pairing/PP if we need to.
3- Krug is far too valuable to our transition game and PP to be a negative. Perunovich has done well enough in covering for him, but Krug is a vital part of our team when healthy. Easily our 3rd best D man.
4- Tonight was a gutsy win, but we played terrible during the first 32 minutes of the game. Let's not overrate the "chemistry" we had tonight. We need a much better start if we have any hope of pushing this to a game 7.
