No problem. They sang their anthem over the olympic one. Was a great sight to behold. Over half the stadium was Russian.

Great tournament for Germany. I really hope this gets more people into the game. But money is the big issue here.
I don't partake in pride over accomplishment of others, but I'm deeply satisfied. Satisfied that we beat Sweden and Canada. Satisfied that we made history and put a mark on the hockey landscape.

All in all, the final went down as it had to. But 4-3 in OT? They did great, absolutely great. Now German media may ruin it with their rhetoric and over-saturation, or milking of the emotions, it's what we do.

Also Datsyuk with the triple gold, can't be mad about that. Shesty looked a little disappointed getting a medal without playing a minute.

I hate Dutch people. And that sounds weird, since I am Dutch myself. I just never felt like a Dutchman. I always felt more like a global citizen. Not tied to 1 country. After growing up in the Netherlands, I lived in Denmark, Luxembourg, South Africa and now Austria.

The Dutch are entitled whiny people who think they are the best at everything. Whenever I meet Dutch people here in Vienna, I tell them I am South African. Saves me a whole conversation about shit they miss about "home". Even my technicians caught on to this and tell everyone I am South African haha

Don't forget, this is a team that lost in OT. You expect them to be disappointed but the joy of their best ever result weighs heavier than the disappointment of missing the gold
