Not sure about either of these players as I didn't see much of either, but this guy can really shoot and the B's need a shooter, so free is good! This guy obviously needs someone to get him the puck in a shooting area, so I hope the coach puts him with someone who can pass, not sure who that would be since good passes are scarce with this team. Lindholm would probably be a safe bet as he at least tries to hit the open man!

From 2020-2022 there was clearly something there. I can't speak to why he fell off, but clearly there is nhl talent. Never know what a change of scenery can do.

Injuries, multiple coaching changes, having plugs as linemates all contributed. Maybe he needed another season in Uni- but he's here now, so I hope he takes the next step in his career and helps the team find the back of the net.

Worth a shot and a sign Sweeney realizes this is more than just a coach change issue. Next will be a full trade and then a retool because Sweeney will never commit to a rebuild unless they are last in the NHL.
Pretty sure the way this team operates he would be fired before that. There is a very good chance if he doesn’t make the playoffs he will be fired. That’s how the bruins seem to operate. They expect to play in the playoffs

a close friend who is a love-long Islanders fan was sad to see him go

Never achieved the expectations from the draft but has major caliber shot- needs someone to feed him which makes me think second line with Lindholm as Marchand as a try-out

Also probably means the Johnson experience may be ending

I would say he maybe be paired with Poitras when he comes back up, but honestly
NYI have had Nelson, Barzal (playing W now) and last year plus Horvat at center and he couldn't produce offensively.

Doubt he supplants #55, so that leaves him with Coyle or Beecher\Kastelic and doubt they take #47 off #13 line and he has never been a 4th line guy. I would say the odds are substantially against him maintaining an NHL spot up until mid January.

Will be the ultimate FU to McLaughlin, as Wahlstrom has worn #26 his entire NHL career I believe, is an ex BC guy like McLaughlin, who has been given every opportunity to succeed at all levels of hockey (Wahlstrom, sure not MM).

Maybe he clicks with Lindholm and pots a few his first few games.

I don't think we ever got definitive word on this, but I believe he was destroyed by that concussion in the AHL. He did not play much, or well after that. He went back to Sweden and couldn't make a go professionally there, either. He's now coaching. Maybe leaving BU early was an issue, but four years of college would not have stopped that head hit from damaging him beyond hockey repair.

Was thinking maybe of calling him up over signing Johnson, or seeing what he has for a few games the past two and a quarter seasons. I had him top six on my opening night lineup so I’m confused about them continually burying him

I could have thought of many things to do over signing Johnson, I just hope that when the team gets home, Johnson gets waived

What has Brazeau done to keep a top 6 spot? He has what, 2 goals since early November? What would be the point in claiming a guy like this if he isn't given some kind of legitimate opportunity?

When was he in Boston?

Lots of people who don’t ever watch him but count his point totals sure have strong opinions about him though.
Right, we shouldn't look at objective things like you know.... how many goals a reported goal scorer scores. Instead we should look at Bruins Network Fan Fiction that says that a guy who doesn't fall down during the national anthem just showed elite level strength on his skates.

He'll get PP time and if he produces there maybe gets some Braz time.

can he play the left side

I would think he should be able to as he spent PP there.

Yeah, we all know the only way to evaluate a developmental forward is by points. You got me there.

Wahlstrom has 15 games to give 1,000,000 % or he’ll be waived and that will be that.

The opportunity to GOOO is there!

Supporting him big time!!

The reason why I ask someone suggested he play with Marchand, and the 8 mil dollar man, him being a right wing, but if he can play left the left side, would he not be worth a look with Zacha, and Pasta, especially with Pasta be a play maker more this year, and maybe because of injuries not sure why, but might be something to consider. I like Brazeau feel good for the kid, but sorry not a top six guy.
