For what it's worth, I met Beauch years ago at that event where each table would have a chef prepared meal and Ducks players would serve the fans their plates. Beauch was at my table. I'm 5' 11", and I recall him being a little taller than me. This was probably around 2010-ish.
Beauchemin is pretty short. He was standing on the curb here because he joked he didn't want to look short 😂 this was years ago after a skate at KHS.

Originally Beauch was listed as 6'1 so maybe that was accurate and only changed due to someone making an error on the NHL website.
Too late, we already concluded that Zellweger is as tall as Beauch, thus size won't limit him :sarcasm:

Give us some height measurements of the people around Beauch, I'm not goot at telling height from the head-shoulder ratio

I'm on the right I'm a little bit over 6'1 but he was standing on a ledge in the photo. He was probably between 5'10 and 5'11. He was moving people out of the blue paint with such ease lol

We have conflicting info even from people who have met him, I think it'll soon be safe to assume that Ducks players are either lizard people or shape shifting aliens

Regardless... I wouldn't want to run into him.

They should recall him towards the end of the season. Get his feet wet. He is going to be fowlers replacement in the future

For players born after 1980 (so tournaments played around 2000 till now) the top 5 is

Ryan Ellis- 25 points in 19 games
Olen Zellweger- 18 points in 16 games
Alex Pietrangelo- 15 points in 12 games
Topi Niemela- 15 points in 16 games
Olle Joulevi- 15 points in 18 games

Not a bad group of contemporaries

The next 5 would be
Rasmus Sandin
Erik Johnson
Ville Pokka
Stanislav Svozil
Alexander Romanov

That’s not as impressive of a list as I would have expected.
A lot of the ''highest-scoring'' lists are underwhelming. Just for comparison, IIRC Etem and Steel led the WHL in some seasons or were damn close to doing so. Turned out a very small portion of top scorers go and have meaningful NHL careers... for whatever reason.

Ever since I got to this realization, I understood that some kind of an eye test determining what could actually translate to the big leagues is more important than just plain production. EliteProspects videos, for example, are very good at this.

It was only surprising because I believe the highest scoring skaters list in who history is fairly impressive,

Ryan Hofer going to Kamloops as well. Blazers are loading up big time.

Thanks mods! Sorry, I didn’t know where to post the topic. But what a huge trade. Is this normal? Like the price is crazy.

After WJC? This kid is all hyped up by the scouts. 11 pts in 7 games. Maybe this is how juniors work 🤷‍♂️ but man that’s a hefty price. It almost reminds of the Watson trade in the NFL

They’re guaranteed to be in the Memorial Cup and will probably suck after, have to go for it now.

They have at least one big piece to sell off this off season, in order to recoup some of their futures. Leafs recent 38th overall pick Fraser Minten, will be one of the top 19 year olds in the league next season. He'll command a return similar to the Ostapchuk trade this week
