For me it's DahlinYour captain doesn't have to be a star. Just someone who is worthy of being a top forward or top D

Not Benson, they'll bring Zemgus back, make him captain, and then trade him to the TDL, say Dallas, and Dallas will win the cup. Rinse and repeat.I'm 100% on board for Dahlin. He is their best player, to me. But it's not about just that. He has the passion, he's fearless and already a leader. But it's the Sabres. They will probably make Benson captain or something stupid. LOL

Does KO's bonus count towards next year's cap for them? That half million may be impactful.Florida's pick from the Okposo trade is now a 5th because he won the cup!
It does indeed carry over for them.Does KO's bonus count towards next year's cap for them? That half million may be impactful.

Class.
Class is apparently being a team leader of a team that quit multiple times. Getting traded to a cup champion. Being an also played member of that team. Then mentioning how it just tears him up inside that he sat by and watched his team not win it here in Buffalo.
What a classy gentleman that Kyle is.
why complainI don't think he was a very good captain HOWEVER, he did play through some god awful hockey (mostly not his fault) without complaining or half-assing it out there. I believe for the most part he always played to the best of his ability, was a good teammate, and was actually classy with the fans. The same can't be said for a lot of his teammates during that time.
He just got promoted a little bit above his ability due to seniority. Happens in corporate America all the time. I wish Kyle the best, and I have zero issue if he stays in the org.
Sure but let's save some of that energy for the core players and supposed future leaders who are still on the team and slept walk through the first 3 months of the season.Nice guy, good guy, would get a beer with him, lousy captain. We might have snuck into the playoffs last year if the Granato-Okposo Nice Guy Incorporated locker room leadership team didn't let the guys sleep walk through the first 3 months of the season.
"...I brought it to Cottagewood, which is the area I’m going live in in Minnesota, and there were so many kids running around there. It was just awesome. "
I think the organization given Okposo plenty of money - I'm good with him being away from the franchise for awhile. Even if I do like Okposo.Sounds like he's moving back to Minnesota. I don't see him being mentioned as a possible front office guy in Buffalo anywhere either.
Kyle Okposo: Winning the Stanley Cup ‘Changed My Life’
Until joining the Florida Panthers, Kyle Okposo had not been part of the Stanley Cup playoffs in eight years. It sounds like that weighed on him quite a bit. Okposo said that he had thought about retiring last summer, but wanted to chase down the Stanley Cup one more time. On June 24, Okposo’s...floridahockeynow.com
